I'm not into the whole module thing. Not even close. But I do like the Moog stuff, so I could see myself owning their stuff.

I tried to convince my buddy who is into synths but not a but hardware owner to sell one of his pinball machines and buy three for the sweetest setup.

I haven't had GAS for something this hard since I learned the word "Verellen."

Be warned, this is a dangerous path.

Once you start using something like this with more than the normaled connections you'll start wishing you could do some things that are not possible with just these Moogs. And the thing is that you just some need additional modules to do anything you want.

Someone who owns tons of effect pedals does not have the hardened mental resilience required to just use an eurorack-compatible patchable synth without ending up buying other modules...

The amount and diversity of interesting modules in eurorack is just insane now. Even compared to a few years ago, just insane. Much better/worse (depending on whether you're talking about yourself or your bank account) than pedals. You guys are all about Count to 5, etc., right ? Eurorack is full of stuff that's at least as weird/awesome as that.

I would do the Mother 32 and Clouds and get hella atmospheric before settling down on a more standard modular layout with maths.

Well, the Maths would be more useful in this setup... 2 channels of slew limiter/envelope/LFO/oscillator, 2 attenuators + all the mix options. Much better fit if you want some versatility.

Actually, you could/should do that in a 104HP case (the Happy Ending Kits are sold in 104HP too)...
