Re: EHX Key 9
Has anyone used stuff from this series(B9/C9/Key9) to process synths ? These things look pretty cool, wondering how they react to stuff that has different dynamics than stringed instruments...

Fuck uni I'm going for a mid morning Cuba Libre after listening to that steel drums demo....
But seriously I could have fun with the Mallets/Vibes/Steel drums in a weird way with a bunch of other pedals. Like Mallets>count to 5 mode 3>afterneath>Rm-1N could be super cooooooked.
Not a priority at all though.

I have the C9, git it for the mellotron, stayed for the rest. I'll be getting a key9 for sure. Vibes and steel drums get used a lot around these parts.

Re: EHX Key 9
i tried one the other day with guitar only and it was pretty weird. i felt *super* disconnected from the instrument (which isn't necessarily a bad thing always) though perhaps if i were a better player i could have gotten more out of it. i could take it or leave it based on my short experience but mostly i'd like to try it out with more stuff.

The dynamics do seem to be quite important but if you can adjust the attack and decay of the vca on whatever synth you're using you should have no trouble setting it up to trigger and track reliably and cleanlyoscillateur wrote:Has anyone used stuff from this series(B9/C9/Key9) to process synths ? Cool. These things are tempting (anything that enables me to make Casio SK1 organ sounds with something else is a good thing).ApeLincoln wrote:The dynamics do seem to be quite important but if you can adjust the attack and decay of the vca on whatever synth you're using you should have no trouble setting it up to trigger and track reliably and cleanlyoscillateur wrote:Has anyone used stuff from this series(B9/C9/Key9) to process synths ?
