i love the B3k. Mini is silly good, Beh Thre Kuh just sounds like what i hear in my head for bass od.
plus, i dig the simplicity.

So I'm looking for another OD/distortion for my board for bass and guitar. The Mini rules hard for me but I want a different flavor. Any other kind of OD that would compliment the Mini?
For the record, I have it as a pretty high gain, gated distortion. Would like something maybe a little more wooley. Fuzz recommendations also welcome but it's gotta cut live! I play with two guitarists with very bright tones so it's not too hard.

EQD Talons. It loses some low low end, but cuts through the mix like a beast! If you'd rather sound like Lemmy than Jah Wobble, the Talons will do you right.
Edit: actually, Talons might be too tight a distortion given what you just said. For woolier, maybe the Blower Box or an Ezekiel clone?

The thing about Elements is not just the versatility, but the fact that it just... puts out the right frequencies. It's awesome for recording because it's not like a pedal that needs much work afterwards usually. It's a pretty "done" sound, which makes life easy and you know you can rely on it
we're spending a lot of time in a studio right now and every time I use the Elements, it's just THERE

Ezekiel is awesome. So many tones in one box. Also Mid-Fi Demo Tape Fuzz. That thing does clean all the way to nasty fuzz and the eq is really nice. I find myself using that on bass a lot. Also starving the voltage on that is pretty cool. Can't say I've tried the B3K so I don't know how it compares.

Just bought Pumpkin Pieces Monarch, think it'll sound pretty rad along side the Mini.

Are you actually looking for an OD right now or just kind of trying to see what's out there? There may be new stuff coming up after winter NAMM, so it may be best to wait until then if you can. I know last year was freaking nuts with releases. I can only imagine this year will be as well.
I never got along with the Mini as an overdrive either. It's awesome but more as a amp crushing distortion or even an almost fuzz type pedal. At least in my opinion. The Elements is amazing but it definitely takes some tweaking to get just what you want. I tend to run one side kind of like a really clean, no gritty boost with mega lows, and the other side really grindy with the treble up. It sounds killer.

Sounds pretty gnar!
I'm thinking the answer to my problems may beeee dat new EQD, the DUNES.

DOOD! The Palisades is SOOOOOOOOOOOO fucking killer! I just sold mine, but don't let that dissuade you from trying one. I was up to my eyeballs in pedals and needed to sell some stuff.
What's cool about it is that you'd never know it's based on a tube screamer. haha. I had no idea until someone told me. It's SUPER loud, like insanely loud, has a boost which makes it even louder and adds gain like nuts, and it has just so many tonal options it's crazy. I loved it. I actually got rid of it mainly because I play alone and don't need the level of volume it provides. Killer pedal though. The best Earthquaker I've tried.
I bet the Dunes would be just as amazing.
