Yup... that would work. Just need to tap the CV from the 8 Step into it. :animal:
that thing looks pretty dope

Also is the Dwarfcraft Pitchgrinder an arpeggiator? I'm not sure if it's analog though

You could set it to an arpeggio if you wanted. It's digital, but most pitch shifters that do interesting things are.

any of you guys tried using a moog cp-251 to control stuff like this? (PLL, freqbox etc)

just contemplating the usefulness of an ehx 8 step vs something like a cp-251

I use the CP-251, it has LFO's and Noise and S&H... What are you wanting to arp was my main question when you posted...

The Frostwave Fat Controller is an awesome analog sequencer that can arp stuff, but the Arturia Beat Step can control midi and cv and is super cheap and easy and awesome...

probably gonna get a freqbox, might get a harmonic decoder, wouldnt hurt to have something i can control more stuff with like filters

i'll check out that other stuff you mentioned..thanks :thumb:

I cast a vote for the freqbox over the harmonic decoder. Jwar just wrote that the HD was kinda disappointing. The freqbox is gnarly as balls. But the moog lpf, freqbox, ring mod, clusterflux and even phaser will do what you want me in the right circumstances (oscillate). The best sounding oscillations (I think) come from the lpf and freqbox, wth the freqbox winning out because of its waveshaping. You only get square/pulse with the lpf.

The cp251 won't give you any arpeggiator function. It is worth grabbing if you have three or more moogerfoogers, though.
