I was going to say the same thing. It's the diet. After you winning your competition you will LOVE da fuzz again.

Dude, I know what you're saying. Fuzz is just texture, sometimes good, sometimes bad. Don't fret if you're enjoying something else for a while - go with whatever's making you happy. Just make sure you always have a Rat pedal handy. Everybody needs a Rat, always:-)

This is why The Elements is my favourite dirt pedal. Easy to tweak according to how I feel each day.

Tastes come and go dude, I wouldn't freak out about it. I haven't been into fuzz myself lately. I sold my PolyGrace a few months ago and have no regrets, something I never thought I would do. I wouldn't have sold it if I didn't want money, but I don't really miss it all that much, even though it's fucking awesome, it stopped exciting me how it did when I first owned it so I didn't really need to have it around.

Yeah. It's funny how guitar/tube/mood/compositions effects things. I have been swinging through lots of fuzz to no fuzz for months now. Play what ever makes you happy…and keep a rat handy.

We had a studio session yesterday, recorded a couple songs, demos for a few more

out of the three that are basically done, none of them is with any dirt

but we'll be off-setting the new album by some pretty gnarly sounding fuzz bass as well I think, so it's like 50/50 Not really using fuzz too much either though, fuzzy distortion at the most I guess...

I don't think there's anything wrong with not using something all the time. I have pedals I rarely use but I keep them around for that day/week/month where it's like fuck yeah that's what I need. It seems like fuzz is that for you right now, and that's cool. If you just liked the same sound all the time you'd be playing the same butt rock people have been playing for 30 years.
