Sounds like a job for a splitter / LS-2...
yeah i saw Growing years ago, and they were doing something similar...
you kind of just have to train yourself to keep time, or wear headphones (i'm pretty sure they were) with the real time signal playing...

Well, not real time, but DL4 does this kind of thing. I love DL4.

no problem with CT5 Mode 1 :idk:

if my CT5 comes back from being lost in NYC sorting facility, I will have one V1 for sale... but first it has to come back :(

What about a Delay and you Switch the Delay Time to half (Speed)? Octave down of everything that is in the memory. Then turn Feedback to infinite. Maybe the DD-20 may Do this. Never tried it that way.
With every Midi controlable delay and a Midi sequencer you could Do this automated.

If you want it to sound like a recording that's been slowed down by half you have to
get a loop pedal, record something and then slow it down by half.

Get a TC Electronics Ditto X2. It has a "half speed" switch.

If you want to slow things in real time you need an octave down pedal
and a bit crusher and the ability to slow down your playing by half.

Half speed in real time, that doesn't really make sense
Like as soon as you start you're already slightly ahead of yourself...

Someone post clips of this mode 1 thing

Its the GB24 mode, if you're familiar with that.

I can make clips tomorrow, I think.

the GB24 seems to be the closest thing to what i'm talking about... especially paired with more delay and verb. i've been fooling around with mine a lot playing keys through it trying to find this sound, but it is VERY laggy and yes almost impossible to use in a practical way. i am going to keep experimenting tho. closest i got was GB24 in set similarly to that section of the vid above + memory man full wet and lots of verb
