I had to cancel my original order, but picked one up yesterday to put in place of my board's main delay (No Memory), I love my no memory, but it's a ritual to get it working, and it sometimes coughs up on me, which is not fun live.
I'm glad that the DD-500 is not afraid to get lofi and glitchy, as I've seen in demos.

The hold/stutter effects are cool. You can add 1/4, 1/8, and 1/16 note stutter effects via the control switch. I might have to add a extension switch to my board for this purpose although I cant imagine the DD500 replacing my Raptio for dedicated glitch sounds in my set.

You missed the DD-5. If I can get my hands on a judder for a while I can always shoot a video comparing them.

You can get a better stutter effect with MIDI if your controller has a "momentary" switch:
Hold down the switch -> play your stuff -> release the switch
The beauty of that is that the time you hold down the switch will be the speed the stutter will have.
I haven't received mine to see if this is possible but I can't see why it couldn't be possible if it receives CCs for Record and Play.

I've never had a Revolver. Wanted one for ages though. One of these days I'll have a board that's only stutters.

Im not going to add a midi controller to my board to achieve an effect I achieve perfectly with the Raptio already. I prefer a fixed stutter speed. The music I play is generally too technical to focus on how long Im holding down a switch for in order to set a stutter rate.

Revolver is why I don't gas for other stutter pedals. Well I mean I do, but not enough to do anything about it.
One can never have enough glitch though...

That’s quarter-assed at best.

Are you syncing stuff with MIDI clock? A click track maybe?
Nope. No click or backing tracks live. My problem with the "hold for as long as you want the stutter to be" functionality is that it depends on lifting off a pedal in time rather than pressing down on one and that would be like stepping on the offbeat while playing on the downbeat at 200bpm. Just not going to happen if I hope to also put on a good show lol.
What would you guys like to see in a demo? Now that I've had the DD-500 for a couple of days and are more or less familiar with it. Everything is pretty user friendly save for the stupid custom pattern function, but that could be a lot worse.
