Hmm, I'll definitely wait for more RV-6 videos and wait for some used prices. I'll see if I like it more than the RV-3

I really like all the older RV's, this new one might be worth looking into. Dispite the annoying shimmer mode that is :facebook:

That delay...Hard to say anything without more demos and reviews, but imo the market is already saturated with nice delay modelers, so there's ton of stiff competition out there for boss. Their own DD-20 comes to mind, plus imo the Digitech timebender isn't too shabby either. And bang for the buck whise, a DL-4 or Delaylab is pretty hard to beat too. And if it weren't for the god aweful user interface, the Empress Superdelay would just blow everything else out of the water. Cheaper than a timefactor/timeline/echolution, compact and pedalboard friendly and still packed with a ton of different modes that all sound fucking stellar. Really too bad it takes half a day of switching and tap dancing and blinkink leds to go from one preset to another

Honestly, my first thought when seeing the "shimmer" on the pedal was "why?" Its so overdone with every company releasing a reverb with it - often reverbs with only 3 modes or so and shimmer being one. To each their own, as it goes. Some people really dig it.

The demo is funny. For awhile now, the emotional/sentimentally of generic post-rock has been creeping into commercials - I saw a Cadillac commercial with EITA as the music. The RV-6 demo is like that. Funny how that is now popular.

Well, at least it hasn't been done in the Johnny DeMarco style. :erm:

I find they now have understood who to make a good product video. But they didn't have teased long enough...

DeMarco was fun. No BS, just him wailing away.

I want something more in depth for the DD-500. Luckily this is something that'll be widely available in Guitar Center, so trying it out will be easier.

Yea, I sense a "see if I like it" order in my future from somewhere with a 30-45 day return policy on the delay.

The verb, i have everything in it (and probably the same algos) in the GT-001.

If the MIDI implementation is cool (waiting for the manual), i will get the Delay.

I'm liking the looks of the DD-500. Just sayin'.

Really diggin the idea of the momentary switch on the DD-500. Less space on my board, and no need for another switch in front of the board? Fucking win right there. I'll prolly be selling my DD-20 and Headrush E2 to get it.

Also, for those of you not aware of current Roland/Boss topology, the expression input also will double as FS5/6 single or double FS for more options, and should be assignable to anything including individual parameters of a patch. I'd assume the same level of obscene automation (push button to ramp up delay repeats and turn on ducking and EQ change) with 8 or more assignable parameter changes per patch.

This was shown in the demo briefly, actually! :!!!:

I'm thinking I'd probably use the external switches to have a separate Looper with my delay, that way I can kick my Ditto off the board too.
