I've heard horror stories surrounding Atlas Shrugged. I feel like reading it to see if my already warped mind can handle it.
Do you like listening to homemade music? Me too. Why don't you try one of mine?

Horror stories? Like the way the writing sucks, and how it inspires insipid, doughy conservatives to have inflated opinions of themselves, vote against sensible social programs, and act like assholes?

Horrific, yes, but hardly something to make one fear for one's sanity.

Does she possess uncanny natural talent, though?

she has two dogs and her house didn't have any heat. she told me not to raise my voice at her when i was debating w/ her (about Ayn Rand...) and then when i asked her what her zodiac sign was she told me to shut up (she is an Aquarius...). this is AFTER i bought her Diet Coke; however, afterwards, she did make a conciliatory gesture by deeply rubbing my back and telling me she was privileged to have met me--and she gave me an extra blanket when i crashed on her couch:

i will ask my friend if she is double jointed or not next i see him...
