Not to be overlooked, the Pitchfactor/H9 Harpeggiator mode also has different glitch, fuzz and filter transitions that you can add to the arps & also save to presets...

That's my favorite part of the 4 Eventides.
It's stupidly overwhelming and I like it.

Yerm. That's pretty much why I bought my Eventide stuff, too. Harpeggiator is so weird...there are only ten (or so) controls, but there are tens of thousands of combinations of sequences. If not more. And adding other effects to that madness really goes a long way. Harpeggiator into CT5 (mode 2)? Gah.

its the Seek Trem with "random" mode, which can be used to emulate a shorting cable sound.

I am so filled with regret, every time I see the words "Tremorama" and "random mode"; and it forces me to think about how I sold mine.

I mean its cool, but to me it isn't $400 cool. And there's neater stuff like Anti-Nautilus out there now.

Does anyone know if there are pedals that let you do what Brandsammen's doing in his awesome glitch vid with the PDS-8000? Set up a loop and then punch silence into it with a foot-switch? That was something I was musing on a while back, and I didn't know the PDS-8000 could do that--that there has some serious potential imo. Do the other PDSi do it?

I've seen the "overdub with silence" done with other PDS delay/loopers on YouTube, and I think I can do it with the PDS-2000 "sampler" that I have. I'll give it a try once I'm back from this work trip next week..

looking up 1d perlin noise pseudocode 1d perlin/cloud is a great extra layer to add to regular colored noise

i do the overdub/silence thing the opposite way: i loop a completely silent loop on my Ditto, then play for a while, occasionally punching-in little bits of what i'm playing. an unpredictable background mass of little chunks starts to build up underneath whatever i'm playing.

I know nothing about coding--looking up 1D perlin noise, it seems like pure awesomeness. Drawing textures on a flat plane of white noise? Wondering if a workable C++ code for generating 1d perlin or otherwise fractal noise would work in an OWL pedal?

Back to Memory Loss--Seppuku Rhys talks about that pedal allowing you to "manipulate the incoming signal using strange grounding techniques...."

Any ideas on what that's all about? Are there other projects in bendspace that leverage non-standard grounding for reproducible noise/glitch?

Also, I may shake out the couch's pockets for a PDS now...and voerking, that is pure victory.

Other PDSes do it aswell, you just get shorter time (or just as long time with a few). There is/was a PDS1002 in bst that has 2 secs, which should be more than enough to do it. Look for a PDS 20/20, there seems to be a consensus that those are the bomb, but I haven't tried one. The timebender KIND OF does it, with max 5 secs, but you have to hold the footswitch down to activate it, so the silence will inevitably be longer. If one has a TB I'd go with using the infinite switch and fucking around with the multiplier, as demonstrated. Using silent loops and punching stuff in is also a fantastic way of doing glitchy stuff. When I do that I generally just let the overdub be on constantly and use the pickup selector switches on my jaguar to insert whatever stuff.

Also, since the video I've found a few new ways to do that glitch thing. One is taken from Kayzers video on the RV-3, when in delaymode max the feedback and then change the time. I noticed that this actually works with the EHX cathedral as well! Static loopers are the best

If you just want simple random tremolo, the MusicPCB Tap Tempo Tremolo can do it. You can bias it so it makes some pops with the trimpots.
