Yeah, and we're being sorely misrepresented by this stupid shit.
This is the filth on the bottom of the bong. No offense.

"This is the filth on the bottom of the bong."
Can we use this for the T-shirt design?

Only if it's invisible unless lit by blacklight.

My partner and I in this have worked in music retail and manufacturing for years. The state of the industry has become sterile. Same shit, different day. Specifically, in this medium, it's so uninspiring. For the stuff I'm into, I find most gear demos to be really uncreative and hard to relate to. Knobs rules. Great stuff from those guys. We aren't film makers by any means, so we're fully aware the sound isn't the best. It was our first time doing this. We pretty much have it sorted out for the next demo. The appeal to him being high and drunk is that it's supposed to be simply fun. An "altered" approach to pedal demos. What makes it rewarding for us, is that each guest's experience will be completely different depending on how they play and how they are "affected", "effected"(?) from demo to demo. What's the appeal to having a history show where they get drunk? Thanks for all the feedback!

You need to feature more actual playing, though. There's a limit to how fun it is to listen to stoned talk.

I grew up watching Cheech & Chong so I didn't take it all too seriously. I thought the demo was funny. It is just mindless entertainment. There is probably a serious knob turning demo of that fuzz out there. But I love a good chuckle.

I think it can be a pretty interesting show if:
1. Production was better. It was a little choppy and all over the place. I've understood that you're already aware of this and that you're sorting it out, which is great.
2. The pedals were stranger. BitQuest, Judder, Glitch, Possessed, Rattlecrow, Miku, Kompakt Kassette, Utter Stutter etc.
3. The personalities were more interesting (or showcased better). I'm really trying not to be a dick, but that guys was a little too much of a parody of himself (to my liking).
4. You combined strange pedals or messed up the "normal order".
5. You have them play strange instruments, maybe? Vocals through the pedals. Kalimbas with pickups. Drum machines.
I don't know, just throwing out some ideas. I'm not going to say that I enjoyed this one too much, but it has potential. Looking forward to seeing how it evolves.

Aside from the voice audio, we're quite happy with the production quality. It's not a Kubrick piece, but we put much more effort than using a Zoom cam or a cellphone. But that might be kind of sweet to film it really poorly and cut into miscellaneous blips of b-roll in the backround. Haha
We chose the Dizzy Tone because it is actually a pretty weird pedal, especially since it came out in the 60's by some Italian dude but sounds like something ZVEX or Spaceman made today. Also, we're from metro-Detroit and are close friends with Bob Ebeling who runs Jext Telez so we wanted to showcase our bud and give him props on doing such a faithful reissue of a highly sought after pedal. I mean, there's a Pete Thorn demo out there for it, but honestly, are the guys watching Pete Thorn's demo's really gonna buy a pedal like this?
Our next demo will feature two Mantic pedals and a local studio engineer demo-ing them. A completely different personality from Episode 1. He's more of a smartass type. I guess it's really difficult to find Jeremy to be believable if you don't know him personally. He's like that 24-7 and myself and most who know him, find him to be extremely engaging and lovable. I think within the stoner demographic, there are multiple personalities to explore. Jeremy is not for everyone and that's totally okay because the next guy's "vision" of what the pedal is, might be and so on.
In terms of instruments, omnichords, kalimbas, bass, guitar, synths, modded out speak and spells, etc... are all available to the demo-er. Whatever they choose is up to them.
It will take a few episodes for it to get it's legs, no doubt. Just remember this is all in good fun. Thanks again for all the feedback!

I've gotta say I liked the dude. He's the type of chilled dude I'd rather smoke bud, drink beer, kick back and jam with. Enjoy life and not take things too seriously, there is too much doom and gloom out there in the world. That Jeremy guy knows what's going on and how to live.

I watched it and couldn't get anything from it. All it seemed like is a high guy trying to do a demo. Which IMO isn't that interesting. I don't get the draw in that. I really don't. If it's a social experiment, then it is what it is. But for demos, I don't agree that it's become sterile. I think you're just looking at it and wanting something different, which is totally fine. You're allowed to do that.
I see you already have subscribers, so that's a good sign.
For me though, I want straight forward demos that show how the pedal work. I could care less about the reaction of the person. That just me.

If you're saying this is all in good fun maybe chill with the defensive marketing feedback talk and the focus testing bullshit. That's not very laidback 420 blaze it stoner chill of you, brah.
I should say that I think drunk history is dumb as fuck, too.
