Nope, it's treble and bass frequencies getting modulated just like on some of the old Fender amps.
Besides, this will be for my second pedalboard which is more vintage in style.
Ok, understood.
Big plans, duder.

The GK is not readily available anymore regardless. I loved/hated mine.
This sounds WAY more musical than the Goatkeeper.

I'm super happy with my GK2 since 5 years. Perfect sync. Never had that with any other trem. Beside that you can create any waveform.
You still Play alone, aren't you? I think that makes a hell of a difference for a trem use.
I asume the chase bliss is external sync 'able (not tap).

stuttering brethren. I'm actually really interested in stuttering. I have a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and had plans to be a therapist before the pedal bug got to me.
The way I approach it (after trying for two decades desperately trying to be fluent) is that I don't try to avoid it. If it happens, so be it, I just try to work with it and work through it. It's become less and less evocative over time, which is what I want. Sometimes I even use the strategy "voluntary stuttering" (stuttering on purpose) to remind myself that it is OK, amongst other things. I actually did a little of that in the CME shoot, but it looks to me like all of them in the video are authentic stutters. At this point in my life I rarely think about stuttering. Of course I still get strange looks all the time, but I feel like the handicap of it has diminished for me really significantly. Honestly, if Joel from 10 years ago saw this video (just the fact that I stuttered on youtube - or maybe that I DID it), 21 year old Joel would shit his pants.
So that's my approach. This is a video of me in 2008 when I went to New York and went through a 3 week therapy program. This experience I describe in particular was really life changing for me. Although i can tell I'm a little full of shit in the video (as i just watched it), I can see that I still desperately don't want to stutter, even though it kind of seems like I'm OK with it.

That all said, I still feel stupid about it sometimes. It's tough to be a person who stutters, but it also can be cool, because it gives you empathy for your fellow human. instant empathy. and empathy is the best thing ever. It's also not the worse thing in the world because you can still be as good of a communicator as anyone else, imo.

Dude your stutter is not nearly as bad as some I've heard. In fact, I didn't even notice it until someone here brought it up. So you're obviously a very well spoken man regardless.
I really enjoyed that demo. The back and forth between you two made it awesome. The little picking. haha
Any chance of a bass demo? I'd love to hear Excane demo.

I could get into blocks of 10 to 20 seconds (sometimes more) back in the day. I've worked on it a lot. but not in the trying to be fluent way. in the accepting it, not avoiding it, and trying to do it in an easier more manageable manner kind of a way. different strokes for different folks.
Yeah, I got to get one excane's way. Sometimes I'm kind of bad about not getting demo pedals out to folks that aren't squeaky wheels and excane, bless his heart, hasn't been squeaky lately. But I need that low end... would be interesting to see what he did what the harmonic trem on bass.

Yeah, I digged that vid too, it was funny.
You have a pretty cool stutter, it's quite rhythmic.
I also noticed you sometimes bend your head upwards and/or push it forward when you start to stutter.
Maybe I'd laugh, grin or smile too when I'd hear it in person for the first time, main reason people laugh in such situations I think is because it's unexpected and sometimes your brain / body just reacts to that, you can't always control it.
The filling in words and speaking them out part is a little easier to control I guess, curious about your experiences with that and what you think of it when people do that.

yeah the head bending and stuff, those are called "secondary behaviors." I try to limit that stuff but it's difficult, especially when are also trying not to care too much about it. It's easiest just not to care so much about it and just live life. And stuttering *is* funny sometimes. even for me. But sometimes not. Most times not.
I prefer that people don't finish my sentences for me, but it's kind of a human thing people to do to try and help. When people do, I just finish my sentence anyway and they'll usually get the message after a few times of that.

Ah, right, I noticed it because in vocal training I've learned that if you bend up your head you can't sing as high so I thought as it puts more strain on your throat / vocal chords it might also enforce the stuttering, not sure about that though.
Your way of dealing with it is awesome man, it's part of who you are and it doesn't make you any less in any way.
I can imagine that, it's also one of these things that gets automatically triggered in the brain I guess but it seems to be a little easier to stop filling out the sentences or at least speaking it out to me, maybe people also sometimes need a little bit of time to get out of that mode.

Whoof. I wasn't expecting much from a trem, but I should have known better - that thing sounds amazing. I really love the idea of the blended harmonic and standard trem, and the notion of applying the ramp & sway... I'd love to see how fast it gets at the fastest/deepest, pushing things into ring mod territory for the initial attack, but then using the ramp to pull it back a little...

I'm actually a bit thankful for my stutter. It pushed me towards writing, which has brought me great joy, and forced me to pay attention to my spoken word, as well. Honestly, the last two incidents I recall having were during an emotional breakdown and immediately after watching the Warped Vinyl video in December. Both passed after a few minutes of embarrassment and frustration. I thank you for both your excellent pedals, which I look forward to trying out, and for the positive energy your reply gave me. I'm glad to see you here.
