12V will be less headroom than 18V for the pedals that go 9-18V (or for modulation effects, it sometimes means less rate than 18V, though that's not always true.)
Any pedal that specifically is 18V (which I haven't really heard of, but I suppose there's some oddball digital pedals out there) might have issues.

Cool, I run my Elements and EQD Monarch at 18V right now but wouldn't mind bumping the Elements down to 12V when I get this power supply of perfection.

Honestly, I seriously doubt you'd notice the head room difference from 12 to 18. I think half the time people are just making that shit up. Unless it's at extreme volumes. For a pedal like the Elements, it has so much freaking headroom at 9v, it's crazy.

Yeah, honestly I just run it at 18v so I can use my other 9v outlets for other pedals. MOAR PEDALS.

Somewhere in one of the elements threads I posted a shootout of 9 vs 12 vs 18 volts and through my rig there was no audible difference.
