Stood on the boring side of the bar today and literally asked a customer to wait for me to catch my breath after seeing this. Customer service: A+

Damn, I told Taylor from IE to do this awhile back.

ILF is going down the Euro rabbit hole.

So much fun, to bad it is only 20hp or so. I hope they make an 84hp version with 5 switches or something.

I could definitely spend way too money on a unit like that

For those wondering, according to the labels on the jacks (I've never seen/used the thing, just educated guesses) it seems to have :

- Input jack + volume control for the audio input. Which has to amplify the signal quite a bit to go up to modular level so as long as it's designed for guitar/bass (which is obviously the case) it should handle line level gear just by setting the input volume a bit lower. The input seems to be routed to 2 minijacks, not sure if it's a passive or buffered multiple but that shouldn't change anything for audio at least.

- Output volume control and output jack (+ the related minijack that takes the output from your patch)

- 2 expression pedal inputs that probably translate these into 0-5V or 0-10V signals I guess. I hope they have something (even jumpers somewhere) that allow you to choose the range at least between 0-10V and 0-5V, otherwise people will have to use 4HP for something like a Manhattan Analog CVP (or another similar module) to properly scale the voltage to what their modules need.

- 2 footswitches each wired to a set of 3 jacks. Switches allow you to have one input/output and several (here, two) outputs/inputs and to switch the routing, basically. They're usually voltage controlled in a modular but here they're just triggered by the actual hardware switch (there might be some additional circuitry to make it nicer, no idea). The first footswitch is probably a global on/off for the whole thing.

- a multiple, probably because they had some space left :)

Well, time to start collecting Mutable Instruments modules.

Fuck, I thought I spent enough money as is.

I really hope that is the case. An expression to CV translator would make this tons more useful.

The rest is correct. I've really been obsessing about this device since I've seen it yesterday morning. I've been studying the pictures and generally went crazy about it.

btw judging from a tweet on the Pittsburgh site out ol pal Aen might know more about this.

OMG buying Metasonix modules soon. This is so awesome!

Wonder how easy it will be to plug and play? Like you can just flip modules...this is a game changer. Holy crap.

Dwarfcraft modules too! FUCK!

What do you mean by Plug & Play? Changing the modules definitely takes a little time, you need to screw them off and on that rail, connect them to the power bus etc. But you can build a simple pedal chain in this and you could change the order easily with those smaller cables.

Metasonix, dwarfcraft, kilpatrick, malekko, some of the names we're familiar with already can be found in the modular world. But there are so many more!

Clouds would be dope.

So guys, you can start playing around with mock set-ups here:
