After playing the Super Pulsar I want every Trem to have stereo outs and phase, but I'm sure this thing does better things....it's more expensive...so let's hope. Looks great. Seems to be a competitor of the Zvex Sonar.

The digital brain is awesome. He can apply that to anything.

Fuck you, flipperman.

I don't think it's fucking funny since I just bought a Warped Vinyl a couple months ago.
:D
I mean, I'm sure SOMEONE would buy it off you...
True.

(Guaranteed I'll be getting a MKII.)

What a coincidence... my v1 arrived today. Not sure if it can beat/equal my Moog MF103 and/or if I can live without a mix knob now I know that one with a mix knob exists
Maybe I should just return it while I still can...
And yes the lollipop came with the package

Honestly, I would. I mean especially if you paid new price for it.

I dunno, a mix control on a phaser is usually pretty useless I think.
Really bummed about those new MKII versions getting out so soon though.
That is, if that tone knob on the Warped Vinyl MKII also works / stays where you set it when you flip the dipswitches.
Too bad Joel didn't put in a low end or wider range LFO option (instead of the lofi, which doesn't do much anyway i.m.o.), that in combination with the tone control would really put the Warped Vinyl in a different catogory and make it even more versatile and capable of different sounds I think.

The mix knob is kind of really awesome.
Lets you get into some amazing, vibe-y fuzz-eating territory.

I am not much for phasers, and I was floored.

BUT, feed is also a REALLY useful parameter, and it doesn't have ramp control in mkII.
The thing is with mkII, with the dips off, you can set both.

EITHER WAY YOU ARE A WINNER

If you're going to return it, don't eat the lollipop or else they'll charge you a restocking fee for not returning the package with all the stuff it came with. Oldest trick in the book.

My Toneczar Halophaze has two mix knobs and they both work fantastic. That sucks about the ramp not being on there. Didn't notice that, but I've found that a ramp isn't always useful? So maybe it's just a preference thing. haha.

I would get the MKII mainly because of the dip switches. That was my biggest gripe and what made me flip my Warped Vinyl. All those cool features on the bottom. This is a great compromise IMO.

Also, not to be shallow, but the MKII Wombtone font is way more awesome.

I didn't. Effekt Boutique sold it with a discount (probably because they already knew the new one was coming and still had old stock). Normal price is €379, i paid €318 ex. shipping.

I currently use a Moog MF103 and I figure the Amount knob on that is similar to the Mix knob on the new Wombtone. I do tweak the Amount on the Moog during gigs but thought I would be able to live without. I'm not sure. maybe I can, I mostly do that during noisy/drony bits anyway and I have PLENTY of other options on my board for noises/weirdness...

Even Knobsman likes the mix control.. I'm starting to feel F'ed in the A by both Chase Bliss AND Effekt Boutique because that fucker knew all along...
And I get that about the feedback not being ramp/exp. controllable. I doubt I'll find much use for ramp but on my MF103 I have both the Amount/mix and Resonance (I feel like this is comparable to Feedback on the Wombtone) hooked up to expression pedals, and no matter if I get MkI or II, I can never get both expression controlled. This is where my doubt comes from, but on the MkII I'd at least have both parameters available for hands-on adjusting...

Yeah I figured, there was some other stuff in there as well, but I kept everything in pristine condition. Even the box it shipped in. The fact that the Effekt Boutique guy tried to pull this trick does make me feel even more like he knowingly and willingly wanted to F me in the A...
Chankgeez wrote:Also, not to be shallow, but the MKII Wombtone font is way more awesome.
This I don't care about  I like both fonts.

It also depends on the phaser really, I never tried the Wombtone.
I'm pretty sure Andy won't mind if you eat the lollipop, he's a good guy, some of those prices ain't funny anymore though, crazy shit.

Dude you still paid new price. That equals out to 348 US dollars. WTF is wrong with other countries. That's insane! I'd return it if I were you and ask them for the new version. I mean, it's up to you obviously but the dip switch thing annoyed me, so the new ones win just for that.

Europe has default addition of import taxes that are paid on pretty much everything above a certain price (varies between countries). e.g. The Czech republic gets +20% on anything over 25 bucks. Usually I find that I'd pay for boutique effects something like +20% tax + expensive US-> Dealer shipping + shipping from the dealer

I say I would pay, because at those prices I'm all into tax fraud and having stuff undeclared as much as I can :idk: :idk: :idk:
