All normal!

Thanks Pal! Gonna add an order switching switch, then on to finishing!

Sorry to answer my own post. I fixed my noise floor kit by running a wire from gnd on the board to the open ground on my input jack.

As far as I can tell this isn't on the instructions.

The Shoegazer kit build was a success! :!!!:

It didn't initially work, but then I realized the DC jack wasn't wired correctly.

I had the exact same problem with the DC jack, otherwise everything seems to be working fine with my build. I wanted to make sure though is radio station bleed in normal? This isn't really an issue for me, but I wanted to make sure that this isn't something to troubleshoot later on.

Anyone have a good picture or file of the shoegazer instructions? Mine didn't come with any!

For the radio bleed, I get that on my Fuzz Face clone and a modded MXR Dynacomp. Most likely a transistor is picking up a signal.

I had a question for the Hyperion build, for the 2N2907A that is going in Q4, I understand the tab is facing the dot, but the Q4 space has 4 holes while the transistor has 3 legs. Which hole does the "middle" leg of the transistor go in?

My hyperion doesn't work probably because its an incredibly sloppy build on my part
I fixed the issue I described above but it doesn't work
Gonna take out the board and try and troubleshoot it and then redo it all, maybe try my vfm

I just re-wired my Hyperion (like 8 times) and it works!

I apparently can't follow a diagram to save my life.

With the tab facing the dot, the hole closest to the dot is vacant i believe. you shouldn't have to bend any of the legs far, they should line up nicely. You should be able to push the body of the transistor down nearly flush to the board, with out any legs being in between the body and the board, if that makes sense.

I can't seem to find any kits in the Devi store. When will they be back Mrs. Aen?

my vintage fuzz master works!!!!
i think i have done it right, but what is it meant to sound like with the switch down? i get a buttload of subs and not much else

stoked that this one turned out well, it's given me the confidence to troubleshoot my hyperion and maybe try more project in the near future!
thanks devi team <3

It'll be a while...We have a few other big projects that are taking up our time right now, but we might offer another round in a few months.

Fair warning, though, if we do them again they won't be $35. We spent a lot of time drilling boxes and putting the kits together for this round, way more than I expected.

With the switch down it should be the VFM. With the swich up should be what used to be called "chaos" mode. But with the recent changes with the 2 electrolytic caps it behaves differently. More like a VFM noise floor with both switches engaged with the extra volume and white noise component.

Many devi pedals will pick up some radio in certain settings. which circuit did you build?
