Same. Just watched the JustNick vid and liked what I saw/heard. Like Nick, I like to tote around a compact board and would rather have just one versitile fuzz on my board along with a Mini to cover my dirt needs. Can the 8-bit knob get into Velcroar/Suneater velcro fuzz territory?
I'll have to go listen to those, but it does get pretty torn up to my ear. I tend to prefer the 8-bit all the way up on the less compressed clipper settings, but personal preference plays a large role here.

It's also interactive with the tone and gain controls. If you dial the tone up higher while the 8-bit is higher it gets very spitty sounding. The thought behind the control was that there are a lot of folks that would like the sound of maxed out 8-bit but might not be inclined to buy a pedal dedicated to it. We figured that this would be a good option for that. I usually have the 8-bit dialed at less than halfway. I can get a nice fuzzy, overdrivey type sound with the gain all the way up, but the 8-bit and tone controls low. But I like being to dial up various fuzz tones (including a blown out fuzz).

Sorry if this is sounding like an advertisement. I'm obviously enthusiastic and I'm happy to talk about various use scenarios. If it's too much, I can back off.

We aren't setup for direct sales, but some of our dealers have confirmed they will ship worldwide. I think that's how we are going to deal with it until we get European distribution setup.

Some of the dealers have pedals listed on Reverb. All of the those listings will ship worldwide.

I have a demo request. Excane demo. Please. :)

This gives me the best way of knowing whether or not something will work with my setup. Plus he does great demos and I'm his whore.

I'm gonna second this. JustNick, Excane, Kayzer and Stompbox Sonic are my fave demo-ers... and I have definitely purchased pedals based on Excane's vids. Nick's too, now that I think about it.

Get the knobs dudes onto it. Best demos on the internet, but they don't (yet) have the profile of Jrmy's suggestions (all of which are rad).

Ooo! Right! I've absolutely loved their demos. All right, I've got FIVE favorite demo-ers, then.

EDIT: And Juan Alderete with Pedals & Effects! SIX FAVORITES!!!!!

Clearly, I have a gear demo problem. But you should send Clusterfuzzes to all of these people. ALL OF THEM!!!!!

It's $200 awesome IMO. Such a fun pedal, and currently my only dirt. There are usable tones in every clipping mode (the FET and Silicon 1 are my personal favorites). The 8-bit knob is so cool, you can roll back the guitar volume for a more open sound, then roll it back up for splatty, compressed fuzzy goodness. Outstanding pedal culturejam & co. :thumb:
Good deals on ILF: too many to list, just ask!

FET is also my favorite, and I believe Dave's (pickdropper) as well. :thumb:

Thanks. We really appreciate that. And thanks for spreading the good word out on the interwebz. I do believe a Function f(x) t-shirt will be coming your way as soon as we get some made. :!!!:

The versatility is one of the things I liked about what I heard in the demo.

Which is why it would make total sense for me to put this pedal on my small-ish minimalistic 'bread and butter' board. Again though, it looks like EU customers get a pretty hefty price tag, thanks to the s&h, import taxes, VAT, custom fees,...:(
I'm not the typical TGP type of blues lawyer who can easily afford to throw close to $300 at every hype that comes along.

The Function FX peeps reading this are welcome to mail me the info of a european dealer as soon as they get something going this side of the ocean :poke: :)
