I used to be SUPER tumblr active when I was in college. It was when I was obsessed with Bastard Noise and Man Is The Bastard and I would just post mostly old fliers that I found and pictures of them playing live and whatever.
I stopped using it for like two years, and never got super back into it. I use it sometimes, but mostly everything that I post to it is already on Instagram so I find it kind of pointless. I would like (when I actually have the time) to redo the layout/graphics, clean up the posts, and turn it into some sort of gear journal that documents pieces of gear that I have with better than cell phone pictures.
I have noticed that a lot of Tumblr is weirdly sexually agressive though. It's like a cant get through my feed without seeing some sort of weird bondage or alt girls in weird situations. I suppose that it doesn't help that Tumblr allows all of that stuff too, they seem surprisingly lenient

So true...i like seeing pics of rigs, but dont like the overally opinionated discussions

That guy...i'm so over him talking about his pedals being the best and talking shit about other pedals...and his bullshit beef about JJ tubes...it wouldnt be so bad if he was one guy with an opinion, but seems like his got a bunch of followers who will just jump on his bandwagon and ride it all the way to Klondike!
the most notable difference between FCOAW and Doom Room is, on here, we accept anyone who isn't a dick...regardless what gear they have and what music they listen to...on FCOAW there's this snobbery to people who are not into doom or dont have giant rigs or brands that "fit" the genre...basically TGP for Doom!

I think it's up to six separate groups now. I find the eurocentric sects a little easier to deal with/less bullshit.
