I can say this much. It looks cheap. It feels..cheap.

But I'm a huge, mean guy. It survived 10 years of absolutely terrible gigs and touring, and another 10 past that. It looks like hell now...but it *still* works.

I use an Ernie Ball VP JR with a Y cable — I really like the feel / weight of it. Not the awesomest volume pedal in the world, but works great for exp for me.

I know Greg Edwards uses a Boss FV-300L, and he does some kickass shit with his DL-4/Timefactor.
Personally, I'd do the DIY route. I really want to get one of those old Dearmond volume pedals and re-purpose it into an expression like Oliver Ackermann.

Another option is the Expression Roller From Classic Audio, which, as I understand it, is a lot like the Boomerang roller.

They are cool because they have two outs and the top knob really helps dial it in, I've use it with Y cables so I could controls stuff on multiple moogers :thumb:

Necro bump for opinions on Mission Expressionator vs Source Audio Reflex. Anyone with a strong opinion for one over the other?

What do you want to do with it?

I want to use it for expression control of 3 pedals in a live setting. For example let’s say transmisser, avalanche run, and pretty years. It’s important for me to be able to switch between which pedals I want control on the fly, I likely wouldn’t need to control all 3 simultaneously. From what I read, it seems Expressionator might be the best for that?
Having said that, I also use pigtronix infinity and echolution regularly, so being able to have midi control over those with the source audio sounds nice, if maybe a bit over my head ...

hey dandy13 - I designed Expressionator (the engineer and I licensed it to Mission) - the purpose of the pedal to be able to switch between different expression pedals quickly and "lock" the position of the treadle when you switched to another pedal, so if you have your delay time set at 500ms or whatever, when you go to another pedal to adjust your filter or whatever your delay will stay at 500ms (of course you can also use them simultaneously with the "on" switch). I also wanted to be able to use any expression pedal on the market.

I haven't personally used the Reflex, but if you want to run all pedals simultaneously and use their treadle, then you would probably be good with it, but for the method I explained above I'm not sure it's that easy to do (you would have to make presets and switch between them).

.
Yes, this is the functionality I’m looking for! Thanks

Yeah, but what does an EP-3 look like?
The EP-2 was notoriously bad.
