Is it perfectly logical to think about seriously considering buying the house next door that soon will be up for sale and turn it into an amp worship/recording studio/ art loft. I'm not even joking. I'm going to see what they are going to ask. my wife said to but it just to prevent shitty neighbors.

mmmm mmmm. Soon as I can find out when and what price I'll see what'd happen. Might be cheaper in the long haul than me building my battle command shed in the backyard like I planned.

you could do an entire gut build a room inside a room with walls thick enough to have the entire jam room built for infinite baffle.
lord help me if i ever win the powerball.

that's my plan, I haven't seen the inside. So far nothing has changed since there are still people living inside. It's the guy's son that lives behind that house that told my wife. that so he might be full of shit cause it's his dad that owns the house. he doesn't live there he rents it out to some other family member. so who knows.

if you can afford it i can't imagine a better idea in the world. provided you're in a neighborhood or area where the noise won't be an issue. you can always do some serious building for soundproofing, but it's pretty challenging sometimes to get total soundproofing for the low end frequencies. i know a dude with a home studio that's soundproof as shit, but you can hear some pretty quiet low end noise outside his house when a band is playing. some fucking yuppies with a stupid yuppie baby moved in next door and made his life hell. you know how lots of baby people can be.

Yes i do. I hate people. right now overall everyone is cool but obviously I have nothing here.
Also just came up is a foreclosure down the street that needs a bit of work but is twice the size of our current house. hell I'd sell this one and move down there. I like his property better anyway with his oak trees. I have 2 in the back yard but they aren't interesting to look at. they are just tall and not all twisty, his has character...

My daughter has slept through weekly band practices since she was only a few months old, so in my opinion its not the baby.... it's the parents, but not all of them. I'm a baby people and never complain when my spanish neighbors have insane parties till 3am or the rednecks two doors down decide to tune their harley at 12:30 at night. Luckily at the smae time they don't complain about my band practices so eh....

I can't believe you don't have like a dozen of them stashed in your storage unit! I thought that thing was like The Wardrobe to Narnia 'n' shit.

I actually just meant babies. Like babies are some strange race into and of themselves.

I've been recording all my demos and even some album guitar tracks and screaming vocals in my house for the past 6 years. I talked to one of my neighbors last year and she didn't even know I played music, never heard anything. I talked to her last week while I had the baby with me crying and she said she could hear him screaming sometimes from her living room. He doesn't give a crap about me playing loud music either, it doesn't affect whether or not he's sleeping, awake or crying (he'll do any whenever he feels like it).
So apparently in my neighborhood it's the opposite. No one notices or cares about the loud music, but the baby's screams travel like crazy.

because baby screams are the most annoying thing ever.
