I rarely turn my FZ-2 off. Definitely grinds. Also Digitech Death Metal after a fuzz can bring the grind.

I concur with all the super fuzz suggestions my main fuzz for a long time now is one made by Katana Sound and for me it with the octave turned off sounds a lot like a ibanez standard fuzz which to me is THE SOUND, I also really like the Starry Wisdom for more modern in your face sounds, I've tried a ton of pedals and that is what works for me :idk:
