He definitely is a game changer. I've wanted to twittle a driving notion since it came out. 2nd voice has been a staple to my band.

I bought this for *hopefully incoming* Bass VI, I still don't know which model would handle Fuzz better, I'm thinking single coils.

Well, I was hoping for a bass demo today. specs were supposed to be posted today. i guess its still the 10th, and Ken is a west coast guy, so theres still time.
In other news, I got a driving notion today on temp trade and I love it. Makes me more excited for the 141g, and also makes me want to try his other stuff. i had a second voice for a while and really enjoyed it. I have high hopes for this one.

I didn't mean to imply that Ken couldn't come up with his own designs. His stuff is awesome. This just seemed kinda up Devi's alley and with her on the demo

I just thought maybe they'd worked on it together or something. Honestly I'd be down for more Devi designed stuff as long as someone else handled the business side of it
And I do love the look of Infanem pedals.

The Driving Notion is awesome on bass. I think the way it works is that there are 2 gain circuits, a low bassy one and a high trebly one. You set each circuits gain independently and then blend to taste. Then there's an input gain that gives it a bit more grit.
I was able to get some crazy, harmonically rich, almost aluminum neck tones. And plenty of low end on tap. There's also a weird gating effect that only seems to affect the low circuit. Its pretty interesting. Definitely not a standard OD. I think Ken said it was inspired by Sonic Youth if that tells you anything.
I'll try to record some clips tomorrow.

I'll run it into my Dirgedweller. I managed to get half of a good clip on my phone the other day, till I accidentally bumped the volume up a bit and it clipped the mic like mad.
I need a real recording setup.

I do recall it being good at getting faux aluminum neck tones. I should try one.

It kinda has that SY/branca/rys Chatham sound. Dime everything and it sound like a metal neck.
