I think you know I have no common sense when it comes to fuzz prices. I can't play guitar without my Caprid and it was almost $300. It isn't even about innovation for me so much as just straight up awesomeness. If I know it will sound fantastic with my Strats, it is worth that kind of money.

My top would be Gnomeratron VTF
I have paid more for dual pedals but that's 2 pedals in one.

Most I spent was 220 for a silicon assmaster. Still can't imagine what makes that pedal so expensive. Especially considering Malekko's prices for everything else. As far as I know there's no stupid mojo transistors or diodes in it?
For stuff made domestically (USA) I'd say 200, but I'd gladly drop the money on a fuzz from lastgasp for example

It's the fake teeth that come inside which make it so expensive.

Hahahaha. Some of you guys crack me up! It's good to hear so many varying thoughts! I love it!!! I've spent over 300 on fuzz pedals before and for the right one I'd spend a lot more.
My pedal will not be 300 dollars, but it might not be 200 either. I'm having this fuzz made to kind of cover a lot of ground, that being said, it won't be for everyone. The closest pedal that is made like it is 400 dollars and has about a 3 year wait list.

So! If you know the pedal world, you might know the company.
This is not a direct clone, but of course it will be based on a circuit.
Not trying to selling gimmicks with it either. Just want something super usable with low end and sustain and goodness.
Now another question. If you could control one aspect of a fuzz pedal with expression, what would it be? My thoughts are sustain, from almost none to infinite (well not really, but a long ass sustain).

Yeah, that'd be awesome, footswitchable sustain or through an expression pedal, and on top of that footswitchable eq to really boost the bass and/or the highs to make a really heavy or a really thin middy sound.

would be cool to have an internal feedback loop and able to control its volume/intensity with an expression pedal.

Soft footswitch for switching between low and high tone settings. I you had the tone at 3 o'clock pushing the switch would make it 9 o'clock, 11 would turn into 1, vice versa.'
But, yes, being able to control the sustain via an expression pedal would be cool

i've always liked the pedals that have momentary stomps for internal feedback loops, but you can't control the volume swell or any parameters of it on the fly without diddling knobs while trying to play. seems like an expression pedal to have some control over volume and or parameters of the insanity would rule

That's what I thought as well, question is, Dove, Openhaus or Vault...

so its cool to clone active builders circuits?? for profit???

i'd love expression control over gain/sustain or whatever if it was able to be used to swell in saturation and feedback without a huge difference in output volume. being able to clean up the fuzz with the heel down and induce walls of sustain and feedback and with the toe down would be dope as long as both extremities would work in a live setting (no unbearable cut or boost that you would have to correct with something else).
