New episode. Droning the shit out of the Descent and a Moog Little Phatty for 10 minutes. Well I did for most of the afternoon and filmed 10 minutes of it. That was awesome.
Holy stink on a stick! SO GOOD AND SPACEY! :!!!: :!!!: :!!!:

Suddenly, my Descent GAS is acting up again

That Moog looks delicious too! Great stuff, DD!

Thanks duder. I love that Moog. Lovely. Inspiring. Haven't recorded a single track with my bass for the couple years I've had it around. Makes you think like "why play bass when I can turn on the Moog". The Descent is really awesome too. All the reverb sounds on guitar and synth tracks in my GENDER//STUDIES EP thingy were recorded through the Descent. Really great pedal.

Didn't notice this thread till now. I'll check the clips in a couple minutes, I can't right now.

Anyone by any chance tried the Walrus Descent as well as the Blackout Effectors Cadavernous? Is the Walrus worth the extra coin? I'm after huge swarmy noises and drony washed out verbs, but things don't need to get overly trippy or synthy or whatever, I probably don't need a ton of modulation options and what not.

The Red Panda Context is also on my list. It's another 25ish bucks cheaper, but I'm slightly worried it's a bit too 'conservative', at least compared to those other two :idk:

For what you want I'd rule the Context out, it's better to go with something else I think...

I love my Cadavernous a lot and can't sing its praises more than I already do. The swell feature is great. To be honest I've kind of set and forget on it. I do know that you can go above unity volume with it. Sometimes it takes clean into a bit dirty -- kind of nice, though I keep it rolled back.

I haven't dried to wash everything out in verb yet since I found a spot that works really well with what I write.

^Cheers.

Considering the state of my bank account though, I'll probably go with whichever one of these three I can find cheapest:

Afterneath, Cadavernous, Descent. The afterneath takes the cake when it comes to size&price, but it's also too new to find cheapish used...

Didn't play with the pedal for more than 3 minutes before filming. Discovering it all as I play.

Holy moly, DEM lows! Sounds the best when gated in my opinion. Really like how it breaks up while trailing/sustaining the notes. Good stuff, DD!
