Static Tensions as a whole is a fantastic album. Almost Lost and To Walk Alone are hidden gems.

Since I consider the first three Electric Wizards to be the pinnacle of 'doom' sound/execution and Black Flag in general to be the ultimate in 'hardcore' I think this thread should have some Satan's Satyrs.

I wouldn't bother with the more recent stuff. The vocals got real bad and the energy kinda softened. But that Wild Beyond Belief album is one of a kind.

Also Cody Foster's Army gets ALL the points for the name and logo. Those dudes rule and have all been in a hundred bands. This is their "fuck it all" band with which they only hope to have fun. SUCCESS! I think they're the funnest ever and one of my favorite bands in the world. I see them whenever possible and absolutely LOVE to hear we're playing with them. Soundwise, to me it's just that old crossover thrash/punk thing with a little more low end because it's a new millenium. The point of this post is that in my dumb world, CFA is beyond reproach.

I'll be sure to call my next band Ancient Warlords. Our first album will be called Ape Master.

previous Kylesa band Damad would definitely tick this box too.
