I've got an amazing dually built by Ghost Effects with a Tone Bender mkIII and Fuzz Face, totally kills it when both are dimed.
My Acid Fuzz Spaceman 3 is also insane with vox treble/bass boost, fuzz, and repeat percussion in one box with f/x loop, and ability to swap position of boost and fuzz.

These are the same two things, no? I think the Ruiner is two DBs combined.

Why stop at two?
What if you could put eight or nine different pedals into one box, depending on which module you wanted to use?

I agree. To me, it seems like the only advantage is space-saving. It seems like it limits the use and application of the pedals if they are stuck in one box as that means you always have to have them running right next to each other in the chain. Even if you can swap the order.

See this is kind of what I am talking about above. I have the Sonic Boom also. I typically (but not always) would use a tremolo at the end of the chain and a fuzz near the beginning of chain. With this pedal I am stuck with them right next to each other. Still a great pedal, but I am just saying it has limitations because of this.

I've tried making a few multipedals for myself and ultimately just end up regretting it if I don't put input and output jacks for each circuit onto the box.
As far as combos of pedals that sound great together, the Soda Meiser into Rusty Box is probably one of the thickest, doomiest tones I've ever heard

I think if you already use both the pedals and they're a tried and true combination that you always put next to each other then having a double box with a master bypass would be useful. If not then there's really no advantage apart from space saving. The more i think about it, a Mini/RV-3 combo box would be really useful for me since those are always next to each other and being used in conjunction on my board.

Saves room on the board, less cable, one power supply input, they look bad ass.
The order of the pedals in the chain is the only downside IMO, but if you know the pedals will work great together I don't see the problem.

Actually what I reeeaaally want is two fuzz pedals in parallel! I bet that would sound nuts. Can kinda do it with the TAFM's clean blend but it'd be cool to have more control. I suppose that it would be better to just get a parallel blendy box so you could blend whatever the hell you wanted though rather than limiting to two fuzzes.

There are. They offered a custom dual pedal for $200 ($210 intl shipping) with custom design, limited to ten pedals made. Both me and Eivind August are waiting for ours. Not telling you the combination of circuits yet, mwhahahaha! I think we both came up with cool ones

I meant prior to this:

I thought they made some double pedals. I know Aen mentioned offering some after they bought Devi Ever, but I haven't really kept up with them too closely.
I suppose there are more benefits to having the effects separate. I was looking at it more of 1. Less space on the board, 2. One power input and 3. Looking badass. If the pedal combo is tried and true and never going to change, then why not go for it? Or if its something like adding a ring mod to any fuzz, that's one less cable you need to worry about. Maybe my DoctorPus is less useful than I thought, versus having a double Mad Doctor box (high on my list to get) and a PolyPus. But then again, a graphic of a cyclops fighting a giant squid would be so killer.
Also, D.o.S., you make a good point. If only we had some kind of unit that would take in different effect modules. Like an effect console or something.
