Had 2.75/4mm V-Picks...shredded em.

Used to use 1.5 Dunlops, shredded em after one jam.

Upped it to the 2mm Dunlop something or other...they last a bit longer.

Fuckin way she goes, boys.

I ended up getting 3 different types to try out.

http://www.jimdunlop.com/product/delrin 1.14

http://www.jimdunlop.com/product/gator-grip 1.5

http://www.jimdunlop.com/product/primet ... ndard-grip 1.5

All a lot thicker than what I am currently using. We will see.

Brain.

Plusses. They feel like those black 1mm Dunlop nylon picks but feel grippier. They have a cat tongue texture on them.

Also, and most important to me, they are bright orange so I can always find one laying around.

Black or grey picks just get lost too easy.

When I do more hybrid picking stuff I prefer the jazz III pitchblack but lately I've developed an affinity for the Herco Flex 50's.

I made some new aluminum picks this week. I want to move to steel/brass soon though. Aluminum is messy. Gonna see if I can pick up a small square of brass/steel from Lowes or Home Depot or something

I wanna try a metal pick on bass. Seems a lot less likely to break a string that way too.

If you like stiff picks, try the Dunlop Ultex. Then give a noticably brighter attack than other picks ive tried. I dig their 1.14 or whatever it is a lot.

I've gone back to brass picks lately...seem to accentuate the qualities of an aluminum guitar.

When playing hardcore/punk rock with lots of stabby strums, I use a .77mm

For slow, chuggy, droney sludge, I use a coin. A 10p coin to be exact, which is kinda similar to a 25c coin, for y'all across the pond. Similar size anyway. I think the edges are different. I like it. Chugs sound mighty, and that slightly serrated edge really piles on some hefty harmonics.
