I really really really REALLY hope this thread will result in clips. Serious clips.

:erm:

Well, they're doing major construction all around my house including streetwork right beneath my window.

So, I don't know if it'll be quiet enough to get anything recorded today.

Clips will come. Eventually. :snax:

I can whip out the electric sitar synth model later, not at the DAW right now.

Yeah, that sounds good, furtkamp, throw up some clips. I'm interested to hear what you're up to.

I should be able to get mine up tomorrow.

Sounds like a personal problem. Seriously though, I am very excited to hear this. :snax:

A quickie as I was chasing phantoms in the rig (which happens when you need a flowchart to tell what's where)...

Fender Jaguar/GR-55 faux electric sitar (only external effect is Devi Ever Test Pattern @1;50ish to 2:55ish and warp delay on fadeout) into Jazz Chorus/Mustang V amp, Bass VI into Mustang V.

Clean (except for TP bit) electric sitar not run into a faux Orange model is panned rightish, same faux sitar into the Orange more left. VI, well, goes where VI wants.

Thing I probably prefer on the virtual one past well, it's on a Jaguar, is the ability to fine-tune the amount of sitarness in spades, and it has the nasty bridge pickup on the Corals down pat.

Nice work, rfurtkamp. Yours sounds way better than mine. You're a much more accomplished recordist than I.

Teaser:

I just ran into the pedals I had on the floor at the time.

W&C Gray Box > LAL Sandstorm > Fairfield Accountant (unheard in this clip) > flanger > IdiotBox Dimension X > Fredric Zombie Klone (always on) >

Pignose amp > Oktava mk219 > Presonus Audiobox USB > Garageband

Thanks. Don't get your hopes up.

I'll record some better clips. I just wanted to prime the pump. (TWSS)

Nah, not bad for a new instrument.

I've been using the GR-55 sitar for 2+ years now so I've had more than a few hours on it.

It's a blend of DI/ampsim plus an Oktava Mkwhatever on the Jazz Chorus that I normally use for general purpose recording, so the levels etc are dialed in supremely stupidly.

Only regret is it was 3 am so I couldn't crank the JC to get some speaker movement.
