Cheers guys!
There have been many points where I've almost given up.
But so far, its cost me far less than $200 and I think the results are starting to really come together.
I'll be able to buff by the weekend as I'm doing the clear coats now!

The pickguard's shape is very nice. Thumbs on achieving this by unguided hand.

Headstock!

The clear coat is really frustrating because I am so close to finishing, yet I know I have to wait days for it to cure!
Lucky I have a buttload of orders to fill haha

Obligatory mockup photos!
I've just wet sanded the clear coat in these photos at 1200grit so that's why it looks so flat.
Waiting until tomorrow to begin the buffing process!

Wired it up today, sounds REALLY cool.
bit of a fluke when I put it all together, didn't think it would work out - worked perfectly with very minor adjustments for the intonation.
Strats should be stock with p90s...

wildebelor wrote:So I cut the rough shape with a dremel, however I did it poorly because I had lost my cutting bit.
I then proceeded to use a sanding drum drill attachment to get it closer to my shape.
I then hand sanded it all to its final shape and used a razor blade to get the beveled edge.

A lot of work but I think it's well worth it!

I actually do this process for pickguards with the cutting bit except for the razor blade thing, thats a great idea though. Ill have to try it out.
