The Birthday Party were awesome. Melbourne (my home city) had a great noise rock scene in the late 70s early 80s. Sadly I was just a little to young to be able to enjoy it. Some great bands came out of that scene. Beasts of Bourbon were another great band from that period that should be checked out.
