Woah dude, I'd never heard them before. I just bought the album, they're pretty kick ass.

Gov. Trash is much more like it. I used to be super enamored with DFA, but as time has gone on I've found myself wishing Seb's vocals were less melodic.

I meant to post about them too. Thanks for the link, Joe! Ive been writing fuzzy noisy fun riffs intended to be played in a bass/drum duo, and this kind of stuff get me so pumped!

It's definitely not the in-your-face immediate amazingness that was their first full album, but after two listens, I can tell I'll fall in love with it soon.
It's got Sebastien's power-house drumming and wild vocals and JFK just being JFK so everything we've loved about them is still there. The slightly extra production is good.
The only thing I see myself needing to get over are the lyrics, they're a little...high schooly...murrr...
EDIT: I've also waited years for the DFA1979 reunion, but I had my expectations set extra low because nothing could be as great as You're a Woman.

Oh hell yeah! Sounds a bit more polished than their previous effort, which is both good and bad.

Right On, Frankenstein is catchy as fuck.
Dat Government Trash/Gemini one-two punch.
And the title track. What is even happening?
The only skip for me is White is Red. Black History Month and Sexy Results are chill DFA at their finest. White is Red is a throwaway slow song IMO.
