I would personally try out The Great Destroyer. Prepare for most other fuzzes to seem tame after trying it, though.
This man knows. I have mine set up for 3 stages basically. By itself, its extremely heavily gated, almost 8 bit sounding, with no note decay at all. I run my Fuck Mountain before it, and when I hit the Mini side, it gets more sustain but still really gated and sputtery. Then I hit it with the higher gain Mountain side and it turns into a weapon of mass destruction.jamesmikelly wrote:Posting to say I love my unpleasant surprise and I'm really happy no one bought it a month ago because it's a staple of my bass rig now. It can do anything from sputtery "bad" stuff to just being a fantastic, nearly traditional sounding distortion pedal. All with 2 knobs, 3 switches, and a smaller enclosure than some packs of gum. Also, I'm not huge on running it before dirt but if you really slam it with a dirt before (I love a Rat into it) it becomes a house shaker.
This is the first fuzz I ever had GAS over, and I've still never tried one.theavondon wrote:I would personally try out The Great Destroyer. Prepare for most other fuzzes to seem tame after trying it, though.
TGD sounds insane but I think I might need something a little more tametheavondon wrote:I would personally try out The Great Destroyer. Prepare for most other fuzzes to seem tame after trying it, though.
