I agree with you on this. Best thing about this band are the song titles, the music itself doesn't do it for me.

Say what you want about over produced modern death, I really like this tune. Behemoth are great.

I have no problem with over produced modern death... Though I'm not the biggest fan of this newest behemoth. Just seems kinda like newer Satyricon

Haha, wow, I didn't realize I had so many loyal fans here! I've been a lurker on here for quite a while, because fuzz is awesome, but this thread made me decide to make an account. ShaolinLambKiller, I'm really tight with Bongripper, they're good dudes. Even if their music isn't to your taste, you've got to admit they have the right idea: Hail Me, Worship Doom, and Rip Bongs.

and that's fine I actually know a lot of other people in chicago that knows them well as in actual friends. Never stopped me from telling them my thoughts on the band when it's brought up.

It's all subjective of course. I just have a hard time taking Satanic themes seriously. Especially when it's meant to be taken seriously. One of the reasons I took as long as I did to check out Bongripper. I mean, they're called "Bongripper" and then name an album "Satan worshiping doom" When I finally did i loved it. Probably because they don't really take it seriously. It's equivalent to singing about the easter bunny IMO.

I just don't like them for the music, also I hated the name since just about every band that's directly pot related named I just don't bother outside of weedeater and that one I actually did think it was named after the tool.

I've given them chance after chance. Nothing grabs me if it half ass does they take and just beat it into the ground to where I hate and forget it.

Oh yea notice, no support of ripping bongs. No support of weed smoking. Don't care.

Lyrical themes of bands don't bother me at all. I can't make out what they are saying so I don't care. I just like cool song titles at the very least.

Dudes, you don't have to wear a button-up shirt and speak in Latin to worship me. This isn't Catholicism. I'm way about y'all just doing your own thing (smoke weed) and worshipping me how YOU feel best reflects your love of doom. If you think some silliness is necessary, I'm all about it. Just as long as you understand that every note you play is just between you and me, the big man downstairs. Talk to your local P&W pastor if you feel like your relationship with me isn't where you want it to be, or even just shoot me a PM. I'm way better at replying than god.

More of a good riff is a good thing. I keep trying to get both bands to stretch parts out and it's not always easy to do and keep interesting. I get that. but when well done. Meditational heavy.
