I actually love the streamlined controls of the 4x. It's perfect for me. I definitely don't *need* this one, but I'd love a few toneprints from it!!
I'm in the same boat, thinking of ditching my El Cap (and echo park) for this!fuzzypumpkins wrote: Back on topic, ....wonder if I should replace the El Cap with this?? For pure sound quality, i doubt it can do what the Cap does but it does so much more, has a better layout for presets and looping. Hmmm
Yeah, I'm in the same boat. I use my Flashback X4 for dry, digital style delays, which it excels at, and leave tape echo to the Belle Epoch. Hell, I've been tempted to put the BE on top of my amp so I can manipulate it more. It is so tactile.Holy Schnikes wrote:This thing looks pretty cool in theory (and visually) but I've never been thrilled with TC's delay/verb/mod offerings. The Cbread Echorec and Belle Epoch crushed the original Alter Ego I tried, just no comparison. I love TC tuners and loopers tho.
And yeah, this thing needs more controls to truly rule. Mod control esp!
All the MIDI does is let you change between the 3 presets or accept Clock from another device... The EXP input can be used to control any combination of the knobs with any range...univalve wrote:Yeah, any thoughts on midi yet?Gone Fission wrote:I've got lots of great delays already, and the FBx4 was nagging at me anyway. This ups the interest a bit.
Anybody gotten deep into the MIDI functions of the FBx4? Does it really add much for you?
