Yeah. The duty knob definitely can change the sounds of any wave. It definitely helps get the abruptness of the wave and make a unique sound to any wave shape. All of its important.

Got ahold of a Repeater Fuzz and a/b'd it with the reverse sawtooth on my Tap-A-Whirl. While it's close there is something more intense and percussive about the attack of the Repeater Fuzz's tremolo, I'm guessing due to the actual 2n2646 transistor as others said. Really it's a negligible difference though so if you've got a tremolo that can do reverse sawtooth you're pretty much there. It's really only noticeable while using tons of fuzz before it (which of course we all know is why we want it anyway).
