Wen't out and boughted a ric style 12 saddle bridge and baseplate so I can has independant intonation on the new fackenfocker doubleneck. you got me all inspired and shit.

Sent out the records this morning, so I'm hoping that they get there by Friday!
Got word that the strap, pickups, and strings are en route, along with the body.

That bridge sounds crazy AxAxSxS!

Regarding the bridge- Anyone know of a Telecaster bridge that has top loading and through body holes, along with 6 saddle poles? I haven't seen a bridge that has that. If I DID find one like that, I'd possibly get the Warmoth 12 string bridge so that I could intonate each string. But if I can't, I was thinking of just getting a regular Wilkinson bridge to use like on my Telecaster and Telemaster. They're cheap, top and through body loading, and have 3 brass saddles.

Ordered a Wilkinson bridge today, the same that is on my Telecaster, along with a control plate and pickguard screws.
Friday or Saturday I'll be ordering the neck and tuners!

Was doing some string tree research, and it looks like Angela Instruments have some original 12 string trees available, definitely think I'm going to splurge and pick one up

Awesome project, can't wait to see it once it's finished.

Also, I just bumped into this tele bridge with 6 saddles and string trough as well as top loading options and remembered that you mentioned it in this thread:

I see you already ordered a Wilkinson bridge, but if you're still interested in making a fully adjustable 12-string bridge this could be interesting. It's cheap too!

Do you think that having the octave strings and that spacing would make either one or both of the strings lay on the holes where the saddle intonation screws would be? I think that was my biggest fear, that if I needed to have a saddle where the screw poked up through the top, that it wouldn't be hitting any of the strings

I'm not sure what you mean, but after closer inspection it seems like this bridge wouldn't work after all since the string through holes are in the wrong place (they should be on the other side of the mounting screws to line up with the saddles). Maybe this is what you meant? I did find a thread on tdpri where some guys used a similar approach with a tele bridge and the warmoth 12-string bridge, so I guess it could work if the string through holes are in the right place. You could always buy an only top loading tele bridge and drill string through holes in the right place?

edit: or maybe then they would not line up with the string through holes in the body anymore?

Here's the thread: http://www.tdpri.com/forum/tele-home-de ... ridge.html

Interesting read! Makes me want to rethink the Wilkinson saddles, I might go with threaded depending on how the octave and regular strings lay on the saddles. If I could get away with just getting threaded saddles and leaving it at that to solve the problem, I'm cool with that! If it takes getting a top loading 6 saddle and doing the string through approach I could probably do that as well. Although I do know that the guitar body is already drilled for traditional string through
