high school dropout but was in college as a freshman while my senior class was finishing up i dropped out of college too (multiple times)

married my best friend. met her at a show that i played and it took me months to get the balls to actually talk to her in person. been together 11 years now and have a 6 year old son who is fucking rad.

I have anxiety like a motherfucker that is made worse by being in the medical field. I know the side effects to pretty much everything and it makes you a hypochondriac

grew up middle class. mom is a nurse and dad worked at a plant that made lighting fixtures until it moved operations to mexico last year. he retired in march this year and i'm glad to see him enjoying his time now. he worked 7 days a week for years straight and it was killing him.

no drank or other stuff. I did drink a little here and there back in the day though.

first guitar was a shitty Hondo that I bought for 30 bucks off of my friend. i played drums since i was 11, started guitar when i was 18 because I couldn't find a guitarist who was into what i wanted to do. now i can't find a drummer who is into what i want to do.

my band plays in drop a, but i keep another guitar in drop c to fuck around with.

Make my living as a therapist and have been a psychology professor on the side.

First person on both sides of my extended family to earn a bachelors degree. My mom was a year behind me. She got her masters six months before I got mine. Still super proud of her for that.

One wife and one kid, who is 7 months old. She is a loveable little tyrant.

We own our house, but bought before kids when we were both super career oriented. Now my wife wants to be able to stay at home with the little one as much as possible, which means we may be renting again in the near future.

I get semi-depressed for a few days every now and then and get really anxious about stuff randomly. Whatever it is isn't really diagnosable based on symptoms, and doesn't get in the way of my day to day too much, so I don't really worry about it.

I cannot stand to see things swing. I think I might be the only one like that. Vertical blinds will almost give me a fucking panic attack. That has to be some sort of mental health issue, but I've never found anything about it

Grew up in a middle class family that lived like they were lower middle class since dad liked to squirrel away his money. Unfortunately for me, he decided to piss it all away between the time that he and my mom divorced, and the time he died, so that was bullshit.

Had cancer of the balls when I was 22, but have been healthy other than that.

No traumatic childhood shit. Just white trash revelry with my friends.

Love drinking. Loved weed, but real jobs ruined that for me years ago.

Started playing guitar when I was like 15. My earliest guitar influence was Kurt Cobain. "In Bloom" is the song that made me want to play guitar. I got into bro-rock and numetal shit in high school, and finally found my way to the good heavies once I was in college. All of it has had a lasting impact on the way I play.

I generally keep my guitars in drop C, Eb standard, and/or drop C#

I probably play at less than half the volume most of you play, and I don't mind it most of the time.

I think I know how you feel. I have been dealing with something called Trypophobia for a few years now, something for which there is no known cure. Even some professionals denounce it entirely and disclaim it as a certifiable mental illness or phobia. It's basically a fear of holes, particularly in living matter like skin or nature. I remember I had a very serious panic attack that lasted for a few weeks when DamnLOL posted a picture of a lady with her tongue that had cracks in it, which could have been caused from drinking scolding hot liquid or from a birth defect. Even to this day over a year later I still see the image in my head and it haunts me. At the time I couldn't stop looking at it, like it was a body that had been mutilated in a car accident or explosion. The problem is, like your phobia and fear, potential stimuli is everywhere. Just looking at a flower can set me off. My body convulses, my skin crawls and tingles (but not in an ASMR kind of way), my breathing pattern increases and I lose all concentration and focus. I even feel like dying. It's hard because everyone thinks you're insane and being dramatic, and whenever I Google it, there are only a few people that have experienced it. Also, because it's the Internet, you have to wade through dozens of scary, frightening Trypophobia-inducing images to learn about it. I just can't do that. So I try to forget it exists.

I suffer from crippling migraines, less so now that i realized MSG was my trigger
Ive never done drugs of any sort and just started drinking a little (absinthe and Irish Trash Cans FTW). Im also pretty much allergic to the sun.
Started playing guitar when i was 18, played my first gig after a couple months and recorded my first CD at about 9 months

Even though i was in the top 2% in standardized tests, had my school want to jump me a couple grades, and rate pretty high on IQ tests im technically an 8th grade drop out and was homeschooled afterwards. I hated school with a fiery passion. I also am a very fast reader and started reading adult level novels at 6

My band is on hiatus right now but im looking to start up something soon. Something dark and primal, say a mixture of Sabbath, Electric Wizard, psychedelica, and blues. I tune primarily in either standard or BEADF#B
