If skully builds a bunch o' these, I'd order one.
Sounds awesome!
Also, I usually don't like digital that much either but the Xerograph Deluxe is superb, it killed every filter pedal I tried so far, which includes the Prometheus DLX (much less fat and resonant) and the Moog amongst others.
Solid Gold Funkzilla comes to mind too, I don't know how good it is yet but I have it here so I'm going to try it out over the weekend.

I tried the Prometheus for a few weeks but couldn't bond with it. I think it just didn't feel sharp enough to me. The highpass mode was very nice though.

I got mine last week. It's great. It's got a momentary switch that just features a looped track of Eric Wood yelling at his computer....

He's gonna need to hire a production assistant to catch up on these orders.

Well, after a quick read, I've seen that Eric Archer filter and I've wanted to build it for some time. Perf isn't gonna be pretty or time-friendly, so if we can figure out a vero layout of it we will be golden. It'll save time, energy, and be able to be cranked out easily that way, and (probably) a pretty small board to boot.

So, skully, how easy would it be to add expression control over the frequency?

Pretty easy. Should just take a stereo jack connected to that range knob. The only difficulty I would see would be if your expression pedal didn't have a similar value to the range knob's
