Depends. In general, yes I spin the full album. Most of my favorite albums get played front-to-back at home or in the car.
Mobile listening is usually playlists and podcasts.

I listen to full albums, when I feel like listening to the full album.

On the other hand, I almost never make playlists. I just jump around my phone/foobar hunting for whatever I'm feeling at the moment.

99% of the time my listening is albums from front to back. I'd feel like I was missing something if I did anything different.

HOWEVER.

If I'm hanging out with my friends I usually throw my shit on shuffle and let it ride.

Sounds like there's too many prog-cape wearing Yes fans here.

I see no harm in putting, say, Minor Threat's discography on Shuffle.

Not all bands craft 78:59 minute epics that must be listened to, with the pauses, the way Lindsey Buckingham intended it to be heard.

Oh here we go with the cape bashing..... Next we'll be slagging wandering around in graveyards wearing a funeral shroud......

Tarkus really only has one good song/side. Exceptions can always be made.....

Most of the music I listen to is at work or while I'm in the basement (my cave) or doing laundry so yes, most of the time I listen to an entire album. Although I do sometimes only get through one side of a record (when I'm in my basement) then change to something new.

Pretty much exclusively. I do most of my listening at work, and if I'm in a mood, it might be just one artist all day. Today is pretty much all Zozobra so far, cause that was what I was in the mood for. And that's after all of Harmonicraft and most of Torche S/T.

I hate a totally collection-spanning shuffle. I tend to build playlists of specific genres, sub genres or moods, and shuffle within them. That way it's more like a mix tape I don't know yet, or a radio show without commercial interruptions... made up entirely of music that I vetted ahead of time. :p
I mostly do this or listen to entire albums.
It helps that my phone has so little memory that I essentially have to build a playlist every couple of weeks

Even though I hate you for bashing prog and Yes, you bring up a good point here.

I do listen to full albums a lot, but another thing I do a lot is I'll listen to a shuffle of a single band, or a couple bands with a common member or something like that (like including Mad Season in my AIC shuffle, yaknow?)

I do it a lot. Always in the car, which I seem to spend a lot of time in these days so I get to listen to a lot of full albums.

I'm not averse to a full music collection shuffle though, and that's a lot of what I listen to when I'm surfing the net or gaming.
