What about the Zero Point Delay and the Multiplex builds? Gigahearts had a couple for sale recently in B/S/T, they looked interesting but when I see a delay with no way to tailor the tone, mix etc, I start having doubts. I don't wanna make a dumb decision (for my tastes) since this stuff is spendy.
Laowiz or Skullservant can get you nice multiplex builds from what i'Ve seen

that's an interesting beast and I would consider it as a possibility if i were you, however because of how the Echroec mode works, it's not right for me
to clarify: if I wanted to have and Echorec at hand, i'd go for Catalinbread, because it has the multihead delays put together differently... they are much more in series and they cascade into each other. Multiplex works differently, because first you get one repeat from one head and then the other one takes over, which defies the purpose for me - different strokes for different folks though

Yea, I like adjustable ratios or stock Roland ones (the latter out of habit).
Have no use for 25/50/100/200 type arrangements like the SEA has to be honest, especially with no stereo pan or individual feedback/level options.
At half the price, I could see a point to it, but I also have multiple Digi RDS rack delays that are grainy, nasty creatures plus they have a LFO (and I can cascade them and have all of the above options).

The preamp and the modulation. The way the delay seems to be one with the signal not just another layered effect/ sits on top of or below the signal. You can get some really nice dirty repeats. The modulation is random and very tape like. Alot of modulation on most delays are very exact and timed, like you can play along with the timeing of the modulation. I dont like that. and the buffer/tb switch is nice. I like tape delays but i dont like failures, constant replacing of parts, and the price tag. This is the next best thing.
That sounds really good... pretty much what I want.
Right? Same here. I'm going to re-evaluate my delay pedal situation, which I have not done in a long while.

Maybe the new Smallsound Bigsound Cloudsleep Delay or Fairfield Circuitry Analog Delay could be something for you.
Considering your criteria I'd definitely go analog, ultimately it just sounds better in my opinion.
The Deluxe Memory Man 550TT is my absolute favourite so far, the momentary oscillation is adjustable so it's never too much or too little, always perfect.
The modulation is beautiful and it's also one of those delays that always sounds good; you want a delay behind your solo, with fuzz or any dirt -> no problem, you want to do rhythmic delays -> no problem, you want it hanging in the back while you play chords and make it sustain through momentary oscillation ->
no problem, and all of that on just one setting.
It's one of the best sounding most simple and versatile delays out there I think.
If you want a bit darker sounding delay you could also try the Deluxe Memory Boy, be sure to adjust the tone filter though because some of them come with a crappy setup (it should be fully ccw to only about 1/4 up to really let the delay come out in my opinion), unfortunately it doesn't have the great momentary oscillation feature though.
Oh, you probably know this, but check it out maybe:

The RE20 is a great pedal I think but its pretty lofi and its going to change your tone fairly significantly. Its not just oh now I have repeats, its going to be I live inside a box and all we have to eat is pot brownies. The oscillation is cool but sadly I haven't been able to use it in a band setting.

Also no true bypass if thats a problem for you. The reverb is odd, not bad or good, just odd. I needed to play with it to stop some weird almost feedback sound in when I was playing above the twelfth fret on the second fattest string with the fattest string open as a constant drone note. Specific, but weird for a digital pedal.

I know what you mean. It's a cool sound, and I love it on many many dub albums etc, but maybe I shouldn't make that into my primary delay.
I'm interested in the Belle Epoch now, but I'm wondering if the hot Preamp aspect will become overbearing? My guitar signal is pretty destroyed already... Seppuku pedals, Machine, Unpleasant Surprise, etc. Is the added Belle Epoch grit a deal breaker for me? I liked messed up sounds, but I don't want to gild the lily, the straw that broke the camel's back, a bridge too far, etc. Will everyone laugh at my repeats? I don't want it to turn into a farce. Know what I mean?

naw man. Just turn the rec level knob down and mix in the wet alil more. Itll clean up but it wont be clean. It sounds like tape. But the preamp/rec lev is awesome. Its my favorite feature. I think you and i have very similar tastes in dirt. Its beautiful with everything i use...im trying not to sound like im selling it to you but its hard not to

It's digital, but the Disaster Transport Sr that just showed up is proving to be pretty damn fun.

Freakshow Digilog (momentary runaway feedback switch)
I have nothing but good things to say about this delay. Seriously one of the best delays I've had on my board. And I've had a DL4, El Cap, VMSD, SDD, dd7, tc flashback, and DMM xo. Sold it off to pay bills. Regret it ever since. I think these would be seen a lot more on ILF peeps' boards had Freakshow Effects not gone with those hella awful graphics they're using now.
I've seen one recently in the b/s/t forum for about $130ish.

The pot brownie box is a good description of it. It's great if you love That Sound, but don't expect to have any other sound.
The RE-20 reverb has very interesting resonant peaks, the fundamental of which is probably what you were hitting, causing the feedback-type sound. It's very unique, I've never heard any other reverb do what it does, so at the very least it' can be said that it's a
unique effect
I have questions about the Belle Epoch: does the rec level effect your dry signal, or only the gain of the repeats? Does the mix knob go to 100% wet signal?

Rec level affects only the wet and yes it does full wet

Then that makes two of us.

for me, until I can afford an Echolution 2 , the TC electronic Flashback is the pedal. It has those internal dip shwitches, hold down the pedal and pick to get the tempo, no trying to stomp your foot to the beat your hand will have to play.
its fun. Full of delay and delicious toanz
