sorry dudes. as you can see in that video, i got a little nervous and kind of blew that promo opportunity - "this pedal's cool! the eyes light up! holy wowzers!"...

playing music in front of thousands of people doesn't shake me in the slightest but stick a camera in my face and ask me to talk and i get a little anxious.

That's OK, I think we forgive you.
You need to hire a ss/bsspokesmodel though.

Maybe I'm biased but I thought it was an awesome answer. There is only so much "yeah its great it's really new lots of RnD to come up with the diode clipping switch, and it's specially voiced for minor pentatonic shit". So I thought the answer was rad. It was funny, short and a sort of "fuck you" to hyperbole.

I thought both pedal bros did just fine. I think the interviewer guy would have preferred a "you put your weed in it!!" kind of response (or "free sandwiches at the Ibanez booth!!") than anything that requires some actual thought......

Buzz is basically a rebranded Super Puzzle (Super Fuzz that's also a great overdrive, etc.)
basically, but there were some other significant changes -
- tweaked the starve control slightly
- changed the core transistors to a matched IC
- changed the output stage slightly
- added the original mid scoop back
- added the stomp and stomp-mode-toggle
- changed the treble/highcut control slightly

ya I thought it was a good vid, if I wasnt already aware of both companies i dont thinkid be turned off. Without being able to hear them i guess it is a bit limited to what you can do? all the pedals look pretty good and that guy swears a lot so i would def look it up.

I really just wanted to see Guillaume and Brian make out. They're both super hot. For giving me that image, I'll forgive chinstrap.

Yeah, if you need PR at Nashville NAMM, I'll do it for free.

Casavettes wrote:also, who has the acountant? been thinking about compressors lately and it seems pretty cool.
I gots one. It hasn't left my board since I bought it, and I've had it since it was released a few months ago.
I'd say it's a pretty fucking gnarly pedal. It has a clangy, crunchy, fuzzy tonality to it that I really dig. You can of course dial it back to something more subtle, and I do do that from time to time if I'm playing gentle music or just want to add a little colour here and there, but I usually use it as a thick, sustaining boost. I'm not a sloppy player so I don't need to "even out attack" or any of that—no offence to anyone that does use compressors for that. I like to use it more unconventionally—though I imagine it's the way Guillaume originally designed it based on his other pedals and the way he described it in the video.
It's not as versatile or quiet as the Empress Compressor, but it is more colourful and boisterous. Ironically, it's a big boy's compressor. None of that ponsy "always on" shit (*ahem* Diamond Compressor *cough*).
Just kidding, by the way. I'm only having a laugh.

erm, do you feel like it changes the way you play especially with dirt/fuzz?
and how noisy is it?
Dude, just buy my CS-3 for $40 and try a compressor out.

I don't know if that would really convey the way The Accountant works dynamically in a musical context. It would work if you were playing teh bluez or ambient stuff, but for heavier styles, the way I tend to use it, it just wouldn't be the same. I've tried the CS-3 and it really isn't that much like The Accountant. The Accountant is a crunchy little bastard with a bold personality and lots of unapologetic sustain, while the Boss CS series are more delicate and pretty.

I really liked the Super Puzzle I had, but I'm glad you made some revisions. It sounds like you—corrected sounds a bit harsh but you 'corrected' the things I didn't jive with as much.

There is something about people that swear. It makes me feel like I can trust them more, like they're more down to earth and... 'normal'. It's not just the words, though, it's how they say it. They're just dudes building stuff. No silly nonsense or pretentiousness.
