is stupidity beyond crazy? or am i crazy stupid for asking that?
talkin' $ i still think (at least at the moment) strymons & eventides are the most expensive i'd go for. even against vintage pedz.

Agreed. Strymon stuff is the most I've spent on a single pedal but it feels worth it since you get so many options with their big pedals and I happen to love how they sound. Eventide seems pretty equal but I've only owned the Space and wasn't too fond of it. Still, you get a lot for your money with those companies.

Thanks. I've seen that before, I was just curious if there was something new I hadn't seen.

Seems like people are impressed with his stuff. So, he is no snake oil salesman. Still, years of wait time. I don't have that kind of patience.

I waited 5 years for a Toneczar Halophaze and it was god damn worth it.
I only waited a few months for a Vault, that too was worth it!
I like Ed because he is very helpful and has great customer service.
Shit ain't cheap, and shit takes a long time. But, it surely isn't shit.

I talked to Ed as well when I was trading for the Echoczar. I needed help distinguishing which version I was offered and he was super helpful, sending detailed PDF files that clearly explained all upgrades and revisions. He also encouraged me to hold off buying an expression pedal until I was sure it was a keeper. I appreciate his approach and customer service skills.
If I didn't have two amps to restore I probably would've kept it but funds were needed.

It takes 3 years to move up on the wait list to purchase these pedals. This one costs a lot up front and may make you happy, but it can always be sold, unlike a child.
oh children CAN be sold.

I find renting them out pays more in the long run.
:surprise:
I don't think I'll ever spend Toneczar money on a pedal, but I've only heard great things about the company
and their fan base doesn't have an annoying online presence, so that's pretty cool.
