Call me shallow but I think it matters a lot. That's half the fun with pedals. I've previously argued that one of the points of having pedals is to create some sort of musical inspiration, and all non audio factors also contribute there.

I really like EHX, but yeah, that graphic sucks. Along with the Glove, Tattoo, E River overdrive, Mole, their graphics have been on a downturn.

If the graphic doesn't matter at all, why put anything on it? But if you make something that sounds awesome, why not take the time to make it look awesome too?

Agreed. Aesthetics are vastly important to me. A pedal that sounded amazing, but looked like it was slapped together or was just generally awful to look at would be deal-breaker for me. I want the 'whole package' as it were.

Mostly it's us just pointing out pedals we think are ugly, but I believe the same argument is made in there re: the importance of aesthetics, which I totally agree with.

ehx were one of the pioneers for good looking pedal, and some of them are interesting designs, but the iron lung looks like a drain cover!
