yes: is the correct answer to did you actually get one in that color because of a anime?

The blue ric has been on my wish list forever because of that show. How does it sound?

It's really growly compared to most Rics [which are growly anyway], It just sounds mean [and I have it in BEAD], It came from Nashville and you can tell it has 30 years of bar action on it [the case has old beer patches glued to it

], the neck has a spot where it finish was damaged or something and they tried to fix it with car/hobby paint of nail polish

But it's still really fun to play

I guess I should share my blue guitar. I certainly don't think it's ugly.

Most blue guitars are alright, it really just depends on the particular guitar and shade. For me, any and all RED guitars are terrible. Something about red guitars immediately makes me think the guitar is cheap or somehow less awesome, unless it's like...wine red. I know this is an irrational thought, but I can't help it.

i occasionally see a guitar in some sort of blue that i think looks alright, but in general i would answer yes, blue guitars are ugly.
but i really only like black guitars and guitars with a natural finish.

i'm not a blue guitar fan, though the lee ranaldo jazzmaster looks cool. many years ago, the late scott chinery, a collector, commissioned a bunch of high-end blue guitars, which were shown at the smithsonian.

Red is the color I just can't do. All shades, no go.

I concede that that Ric is righteous as hell. Not coincidentally, I'm a big Fooly Cooly fan too.

I believe the official name for this colour was Competition Burgundy, which makes zero sense, but yeah I think it's the same as LPB. Fender was still using a nitro clearcoat back then so it's greened quite a bit over the years.
