There's no way I could use a pedal like that. It seems like it would make anything I'd play sound extremely sloppy/a goopy mess of notes, in a bad way.

I think it sounds good, I love that sound of cascading delays with slightly different times (aka the robot-trails clip). Pedal may not be mind-bending, but it's cool.

i think it sounds bad ass as a utility delay, i would fucking love to play around with one! i dont think it could hold down by itself (lone delay) on my board, but it would make a bad ass 2nd! i love the cascading! pretty nifty unique sounding delay!

I'd rock one.
For the stuff I do, it would be perfect.

Sounds pretty nice and good for some ambient stuff. I'll probably wait and see if I can score one second hand, though.

usually a pedal puts ideas in my head, but this one not so much. maybe would be cool as a momentary, or when shits's built to a fuzzed out climax and stops cold...to have it handle the decay. i don't know....

Shit. I'm sold. I can think of a ton of ways to use this for what i do.
$250 is pretty reasonable too, really.
Now to hope it doesn't get discontinued before I can afford one.

well the first thing that crossed my mind is that with the cascading delays self-oscillating you can reduce the delay time on one for a pitch increase and it doesn't seem to have as much effect on the overall intensity. i find with a lot of other delays that when you have it self oscillating and increase the pitch it will often sound weaker at some points depending on how the feedback is set. in some songs i'll often have sections where i just use self-oscillating delay and build up the pitch/volume to a climax so i think it would excel at that. in short, more control over the pitch, timbre and intensity of self-oscillation than you could possibly get with one delay.
also the 'bounceback' clip i found really inspiring, how there was a multi-tap sort of sound with another delay continuing on afterwards. i think that would make for some cool rhythmic riffs.
and stuff like that extreme comb-filtered sound at the start of the last clip, i just hear and immediately think of how cool it would sound to loop on the DL4 and play back in reverse/half-time

Good choices, all good choices for usage...

I try to throw as much sound into the air as I can.
Some deep sounds there.

Thanks for the thoughts. Cool ideas. To be honest, after hearing those clips I was all the way into paypal and about to confirm purchase

but I backed out.

I wanted to really like it from back when the pics were first released, and nobody had any idea how it might operate. now i'm sort of let down? does anybody know what the aux is for?...or 4
