goroth wrote:If you want to go bigger: get another pt. make an I/o on the side of both so when you set up you just plug both power supplies in, a patch cable between board 1 and 2 and you're good to go pedal wise.
Cable ties keep everything nice under.
I think you can't beat the strength/weight ratio of a pt, and if you're careful with your routing you can make it pretty tidy and maintain the ability to change up pedals.
If you're interested I'll take some photos of my board showing the io and the routing. I only use 1 board but the concept is the same.

...I think I'm gonna do it too.
2 boards is better than 1 huge & heavy

Creativity or a lack thereof has nothing to do with the number of pedals you have.
well look at that, we finally (kind of) disagree.
i guess you're right, but i find it easier to get creative with less and i've heard others say the same. mental block i guess.

I understand the idea of imposing limits to break a creative drought, but you can do the same thing by only writing in 7/8, or setting a metronome at 164 BPM and playing until you get something.
But another way of looking at it is: I've got 10 fuzzes, I'm going to jam on my fuzz no. 6 until I get something happening. You don't need that fuzz to recreate the riff live, but the fact that it sounds a bit different, reacts a bit different might be what you need to be creative. But if you've only got your essential pedals you miss this chance for inspiration.
I have no probs with people finding inspiration in restricting your palette of sounds, but I got all Angry Old Guy when people say it as an unequivocal truth. Same thing with people saying you only need an acoustic to write a good tune. Or whatever they say. This is also bullshit. Hammer smashed face without a metric ton of distortion does not compute. How soon is now without tremolo and that whining noise thing is not How Soon is Now.
More pedals for the people! More noise, more music. More pedal trains, more Jwar. Aaaaaargh!!!

See I like having a ton of options. Right now is the time of my life where I'm able to do this. It's not always going to be this way!! SO I'm living it up while I can. Maybe I'll buy a second board today.

MAYBE. I like Pedaltrain because of my OCD and being able to hide shit.
I could use some spacing out fer realz too. It is hard to hit that shit on the top row. Especially if I'm sitting down playing.

Fuck it buddy, it's the time of your life! Go crazy while you can!

plus you'll need another board or a bigger one for when my other pedals get released

So I thought about it and thought about...I think I'm going to get rid of a few things that I'm not using as much. Mostly the Mountainking pedals. This will free up cash and space for my board.
I could do two boards...but what's the point right now really. I will however be replacing every piece I move! LOL

No sir.
Never tried one. The Mountainking peds are the ones I use the least now. Dunno why. They are just too aggressive for me??? Is that even possible??? LOL

I'm like that with Dawfcraft stuff, I love it and use it a lot for recordings but it never works out on my board for some reason

My amp isn't working out for me right now anyway, and I want a new one. So I figured I'm putting some pedals up and a bass up and see what sells first. Hopefully the bass, then I'll just upgrade my amp/cab and keep all the pedals minus a few.
I'm kind of done with the over the top fuzz for now. I like the aggressive stuff, but not the blow my ears out of my skull stuff. It's weird how that happens. I don't use it anymore, because it's literally just too much for me. I want note clarity and ambience more than face melting.

Yeah I hear you, after awhile over the top is over the top.. I only have a handful of those that I really enjoy. I think also for bass clarity and ambience are a little more important really anyway
