At the time...It was better because of the stonage.

July of 07. Sage Francis, Buck 65 (doing his own scratching... with real tables), Alias (hometown hero, hometown show. Dude killed it) and Buddy Wakefield.

this track is my favorite he's been involved in that i've heard so far though (under a different name...).

I actually saw the last few songs of Buck 65 set at the Canada Day show a couple years ago.
They opened for Weezer, Broken Social Scene, and the Tragically Hip.
In that order.
By far the oddest selection of bands I've seen at one venue.
Also I would have seen all of the Buck 65 set except the train I was on broke down and we ended up paying a guy that ended up being a sketchy as fuck drug dealer to drive us the rest of the way there. And by us I mean like 6 people. In his tiny car.
We found out he was a drug dealer when a cop drove by and he freaked out because he "couldn't get pulled over with all the shit in the trunk".
Overall, awesome concert! :thumb:

Sorry for derailing the thread a bit there.
Back to your previously scheduled mid 90's-early 00's hip hop support group

Souls of Mischief and Hieroglyphics are both great groups that include Del, as well.

93 til Infinity turned 20 this year!

Del's not part of Souls, though. Souls is part of Heiro.

Souls + Del+ Casual + Pep Love = Heiro.

Yeah, I meant that Del is on some of Souls' tracks. Crazy that '93 til Infinity is 20. That's a killer album that I listened to alot growing up.

i just got the album. the intro by joseph isn't bad for the first listen, but i'll probably skip it most of the time after that. and THANK GOD the fucking stupid david cross tracks are just filler that can FOREVER BE SKIPPED.

aside from that the album's good. no incredible tracks like state of the nation, positive contact & virus, but still not bad. not crazy about the zack track but none of the other guest scenarios bugged me on the first listen at least.

oh also, long as we're throwin' around hip hop, there are a couple local cbus acts that are really good IMO. blueprint & envelope.
http://weightless.net/blog/artists/blueprint/
http://weightless.net/blog/artists/envelope/

envelope was in on a two day festival an old band of mine was in on like a couple years ago and he actually volunteered to be the first act and did a set specifically toned down & for his kids. was pretty badass.

another old band of mine (long time ago...) opened a show for blueprint.
i didn't get to see it but he did a set once w/ a wall of noise instrumental band i'm friends w/. had to have been interesting...

So Juan just tweeted about kid koala using our Rot Yr Brain on this tour. And then it BROKE. For some shit ass reason those things just up and die. The unit has to be 2 years old. "oh, I'll just quit on tour." So it looks like Im making a Rot Yr Brain tomorrow and shipping it out to Philadelphia.

DUDE if any of you fans missed it, HOLY FUCKING BALLS THAT WAS FUCKING AWESOME! they just did letterman tonight. i love letterman but barely ever catch it unless it's just the channel i've left on while working on whatever else. HOLY SHIT! per usual w/ live on TV some of it was definitely buried in the mix, some of it was probably faked, but sweet jeebus that was an awesome performance regardless. dan showing off three deck mixing at the end especially made it feel real after having a freaking full band PLUS backing mini-orchestra & opera... WOW.
