I spilt a beer on a boss eq pedal and it kinda sounds like the junk tone when I run it through fuzz.

More new videos are up on his YouTube channel. Each one crazier than the last. Developing serious GAS.

http://www.seppukufx.com/KASSETTE.htm

Kompact-Kassete

Seppuku envelope reaction circuitry is used to rhythmically alter tape play speed for extremely convincing real time alteration.

The kompakt kassette stretches, compresses, amplifies and messes with the stability of the internal circuitry with tight and dynamic precision, and features an analog preamp with valve-like tone and plenty of gain.

So vibrato with "analog" preamp?

Yeah, that is a fair bit of bullshit for a description.
"Seppuku envelope reaction circuitry" = dime a dozen envelope follower
"rhythmically alter" - if it's doing it rhythmically then it should be driven by an LFO or some other time based device. At which point it isn't following the envelope. If it is following the envelope then its response is based on the amplitude not the rhythm.
"tape play speed" - it contains a tape?
"extremely convincing real time alteration" - what, it almost sounds like it's being altered in real time, but it's not?
what exactly does "streched" stability sound like in a circuit? Or compressed stability?
"features" an analog preamp - I don't know of any boutique manufacturers making anything with a digital pre...
"valve-like" - don't get me started

Product is probably rad as hell, but not only is that blurb full of marketing tripe it is grammatically terrible.

Sign me up for a Glitch Department when it becomes A Thing. Also that Memory Loss seems pretty interesting too.

So its probably an envelope controlled compressor with a trashy op amp?

ordered the digit and got it recently.
one knob for volume, one for freq. 3 toggles for 3 stage pitches.
a very good pedal, it can do 8 bit stuff good and 3 toggles control the freq so you can have extreme low or high pitch.
when 3 toggles all on you can have that sequencer kinda sound like muse. speed then be controlled by the freq knob, good for rhythm.

when put fuzz after it, you can sonic youth kinda thunder tone... like in a thousand leaves...
yeah, 8 bit noise stuff like world end girlfriend video game tone....

hey capigge - does the digit have a LED? I don't see one in the pic.

I wrote him recently and he told me he "lost" the PCB for the echo and had to do it all over again...

It will be ready soon apparently...!

I've been corresponding with Rhys lately and he seems like he's just on a roll and really
excited about it too.
The Resonator is definitely high on my list, would like to hear a demo
without fuzz though....

He seems like a cool dude for sure..
