So I ended up buying a home made firebird clone and this is what it looks like. Set neck, maple, ash, mahogany, steinberg fearless tuners, epiphone knobs and hardware and hand wound minibucks.
Now just to see if its a good player, I guess I bought a sorta cheap guitar so I save myself some money I don't have while I wait for my insurance check

Old Style Parts Guitars (Silverlake, Los Angeles) (Dude does black tobacco bursts with sharpies!) (And they play GREAT!)

Yamaha SG 2000
Guild S 100
What else are we missing here?
What is the guitar in the middle of the third picture.. It looks sexy as hell! Oh, and Bilt guitars are even more sexy... never heard or played one though. Anyone prefer the Bilts to a real Jazzmaster?

This picture makes me want to listen to some downtrodden emo on a cold fall afternoon.
That is my guitar.

I bought one of these new in 1981. Super fucking heavy. Neck was too wide and thin. Never liked it much. Built like a tank, though.

Just saying that I own the exact guitar shown in the picture. He took that photo before shipping it to me.

It's a great little guitar. Like a cross between one of the old simple les paul types with the single coils and a telecaster. I've got a mahogony body and neck with the 25.5" scale and the standard pickups he offers. It is a great guitar.

I hate this thread, it makes me want guitars I don't need… unless I sell off a bunch first...

It's funny this thread is like 3 years old now. I can't believe my favorite guitar was stolen that long ago. I actually returned that firebird because the pickups were all fucked up or something and bought a jazzcaster from Ancient Astronaut. I used that for a long time, changed the neck, added a pick up, and then sold that to fund a kramer 450g and sold that to fund my current EGC.
I guess my current guitar ain't that weird or goofy in a sense but I like it a lot. I really like that nelson, I really like to get an RD again but the prices went up pretty heavily and I have no interest in paying too much for my secondary guitar (when I'm more of a one guitar man anyway). This thread was actually very helpful because I lust for many of the guitars on this thread. Although that rick, I got to try at a shop and I found the frets are soooooo weird, small and glossy just didn't play well with me.
