The Baby Quasar was way to subtle On bass IMO. He to be set fairly extreme to really hear it work.jrmy wrote: Subdecay Baby Quasar (if you can find one - they're out of production)

Re: Bass Modulation?
Wow, we must have really different setups, because it's been the most effective phaser I've tried with my rig thus far. What phaser do you dig, SmallEQ?SmallEQ wrote:The Baby Quasar was way to subtle On bass IMO. I'm more like a mids-ist than a bassist.

Re: Bass Modulation?
Felt the same way about the original Quasar as well. I honestly haven't used phaser much in my band despite having had quite a few. I think I used some of the phasers from the Line6 M series quite a bit and liked those well enough, part of that was that I could actually hear the effect. The two Subdecay products felt like they had the way less usable range than a small stone (at least on bass). I remember trying the Baby Quasar with a guitar and thinking it was much better suited there. So far I really like the phasers on the Orbital Modulator, but at least part of that is the access to the different parameters and stages. I feel like I can really tweak it just right, plus I love the envelope phasing options. I don't know objectively how good the models sound, but I've found ways to work more phaser (and modulation in general) since I've had it.jrmy wrote:Wow, we must have really different setups, because it's been the most effective phaser I've tried with my rig thus far.
